Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg undergoes more cancer treatment
HEADLINE ONLY!
“...very very high level care...”
stem cells from aborted babies? OK, I have no idea, but most people with pancreatic cancer do not last the year.
Not soon enough. Hope she shares a nice hot spot with Stalin, Pol Pot, etc.
She should retire and enjoy the rest of her liberal life.
I agree with your sentiments.
Nah. What it means is elections have consequences and Senate elections have big consequences. If Obama hadn't lost the Senate, Garland would be on the court.
they also stitched a new head on her to get her past the next election.
It’s a ‘tradition’ when there’s a Dem Senate and a Republican President up for reelection...................
“Lame duck had nothing to do with it.”
What is the Joe Biden Rule? Who cited it?
Patrick Swayze lasted about 24 months, IIRC..............
The "Biden Rule" isn't a rule. It was an excuse for not acting when Biden's Democrats held the Senate and Bush was in the WH. It was repeated when Obama was in the WH and the Republicans held the Senate.
It's not a rule, it's an exercise in Constitutional power.
(However, I wouldn't be so quick to write RBG's obituary -- she's tough old lady and if her cancers were aggressive tumors she wouldn't be here now.)
Do the right thing, Ruth. Just resign.
“Ill say the right thing: I wish her a full recovery. Because I really hate it when we act like Democrat/Liberals here. But I also hope she resigns soon.”
I completely agree.
Fetal stem cells don’t work. Current state of the art is iPSC’s (induced pluripotent {adult, usually the patient’s own} stem cells)...or CAR-T (chimeric antigen receptor {the patient’s own, collected, cultured, and trained outside the body on the tumor} T-cells).
Alex Trebeck has it now- and acknowledged he is very very fortunate to have hte $$ to get treatment others can’t- His treatments are like $10,000 per treatment or something- cant remember now hte amount- but it’s a lot-
Does “localized tumor on her pancreas” equal a primary pancreatic tumor? Other origin cancers spread to her pancreas might be a less bad option. In which case the most common type would be adenocarcinoma, a notoriously quickly bad actor although I gather there have been some recent treatment that offer some hope. Less common pancreatic tumor types may offer a longer prognosis, cf. Steve Jobs, but if she has the common one she could go quickly in spite of this radiation therapy and in spite of being notoriously a tough person. As for the “no evidence of remaining cancer” spiel we’ve heard that before in her case. This news trumps the earlier round of reassurances. Lack of evidence of remaining cancer doesn’t equal evidence of its lack.
Q: Why are there no Yankee fans at Sloan - Kettering?
A: Because the Mets always win.
