Toward the end of his Fox News broadcast on Monday evening, Special Report anchor Bret Baier responded to President Trump’s recent criticism of the network’s polling, which shows him trailing every major Democratic candidate in hypothetical head-to-head matchups. “Fox has changed,” Trump told reporters on Sunday, adding, “There’s something going on at Fox, I’ll tell you right now and I’m not happy with it.”
“Fox has not changed,” Baier said in response. “We have a news side and an opinion side. Opinion folks express their opinions. We do polls.” After explaining that Fox’s polls reflect the reality of the race at this moment, the anchor said

There is but one way to conduct a legitimate poll and that is the right way. Demographic accuracy is a must and totally neutral questions void of insinuation and leading phrases also is a must.
If polling is done properly all polls on a given subject should align within the margin of error.
It's not "embarrassment" so much as a reluctance to deal with the idiocy of the left whether R and/or D. Anyone who is anti-Trump at this point will NEVER be for him, so any discussion with them is nothing but a waste of time.

Fox News polling has always been more leftist than Fox News Channel. That’s because Fox News outsources their polling, for better or worse. So when Beier says the polling hasn’t changed, he’s right. The on-air content, meanwhile, has been trending left for years and it is intentional. The news channel attracts a right-leaning audience and is, ratings-wise, the industry leader so their move leftward is what a business does in an attempt to appeal to a broader audience. The people who liked it the way it was may complain but FNC figures it can reach more people with a more centrist approach, hence the addition of more leftist voices to balance some of their right-leaning voices.
Part of this change has to do with Rupert Murdoch no longer controlling the overall theme of the channel. Way back when, Murdoch saw the niche for a conservative news channel and made it flourish all the way up to the top. Once there, the capitalist business model is to lean center to increase market share.
It’s not personal. It’s business.
Oh yes they have! To the point where I can hardly watch it anymore. I watch Tucker and a little Hannity (Not much Hannity anymore as his delusions of democrat accountability are getting tiresome.) For actual news I watch OAN.
