Greenland is not for sale and U.S. President Donald Trump’s idea of buying the semi-autonomous Danish territory in the Arctic from Denmark is “an absurd discussion,” Denmark’s prime minister said.
Mette Frederiksen, who was visiting the world’s largest island to meet Premier Kim Kielsen, told reporters: “Greenland is not Danish. Greenland is Greenlandic. I persistently hope that this is not something that is seriously meant.”
Frederiksen said Sunday that the Arctic, with resources that Russia and others could exploit for commercial gain, “is becoming increasingly important to the entire world community.”

Trump is expected to visit Denmark Sept. 2-3 as part of a trip to Europe.
Trump said Sunday that he is interested in the idea, but it’s not a priority of his administration.
“Strategically it’s interesting and we’d be interested, but we’ll talk to them a little bit. It’s not No. 1 on the burner, I can tell you that,” the president said.
Trump will have Greenland and a danish with his covfefe, b*tches.
I don’t know why Trump is talking this, because it’s not going to happen with the present government of Denmark...countries just don’t sell off huge land masses these days. That simple.
But, as I noted yesterday, in about 20 years, they will be transitioning to Islamic rule there, based on their demographics and immigration policies. Just prior to the transition, they may want to off-load Greenland, just to get on good terms with the US, so that they’ll have a place to go before full-blown Sharia sets in. That scenario makes sense to me, but who knows who the US president will be then.
The idea of buying Alaska was called worse than absurd. Actually it is a great idea. Keeping Greenland costs Denmark more than $500 million annually. Let the Danes think about what they would do with a huge windfall of the money saved and the money paid for all that ice.
Germany already bought it when Denmark joined the EUSSR back in 1973.

In about 20 years the current generation of older native born Americans, pretty much the last generation (that holds to rule-of-law ethics and principles of civility) will also be gone.
That will also give us another couple of groups of entitlement minded, lazy brats out of high school who grew up with no father figure present, and have been sufficiently brainwashed into accepting the New World Order.
I doubt any sane Danes that are left are going to see America as any kind of a refuge. I expect America will clearly be heading into some kind of totalitarian oligarchy headed by the likes of George Soros and Hitlery Klinton and company.

But it’s a fun (funny) fact.
Denmark has under 6 million population, which puts them around the same size as the Atlanta metro area. The GNP/GDP of the two are also similar.
Another article on the said it costs Denmark around $700 million per year to hold Greenland. That’s a little over $100 per person. For a country the size of the US, the cost would be on the order of $2 per person. Obviously there are some cost advantages that accrue to a larger country.
