A script, believed to be for canceled Universal Pictures movie The Hunt has reportedly leaked and appears to show that outrage over the film and its politically charged plot was misplaced.
Act one of the film depicts liberal elites using social media posts by Trump supporters as a means to target them for kidnapping. The pro-Trump people are taken away to an enclosed preserve where elites begin to systematically murdering the Trump people in a human hunting campaign. But act two reportedly features one of the Trumpers (actress Betty Gilpin) turning the tables on the liberals and hunting and killing them, instead.
Essentially the trailer released by the studio seemed to show that the film turned into a revenge film where the pro-Trump people became the heroes.

Don’t buy it for a second. If it leaked it was deliberately leaked, which means it was altered first. This is damage control.

All movies are shot out of sequence. You can edit the pieces together in any order to pretty much tell any story that you want.
It will go directly to video and become one of those “cult films” that few ever watch.
The movie trailer was posted on FR a while ago.
It also showed that the tables are turned by the hunted against the hunters.
But that makes no difference. The movie was a bad idea, no matter who was hunting whom.

Amen. I believe in free speech. If your movie is offensive, the market will vote with their dollars. I like it when people out themselves by revealing their true colors. I was going to eventually watch this movie and see what it was about. It didn’t sound that offensive to me. In fact, I was thinking it would show the elites in a bad light since they are the ones kidnapping innocent people for game hunts.
If I hated it, I would just pull it from the DVD.
Free speech is a good thing. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. I never watched anything by Al Gore or Michael Moore, but I will defend their freedom to produce it.
Actually this is what I got the first time I watched the trailer.
Conservatives were wimps to decry the movie without knowing the plot. In the end, it sounded to me like at least one conservative woman turned the tables on the liberals. WHAAAAA, what a crock, sometimes, I think we have snowflakes of our own.

Given the characters they chose to represent Trump supporters, they failed to recognize those are the people most likely to be aware and armed.
