Fox News ^ | August 14, 2019 | DANA BLANTON, GIRL REPORTER

In the wake of two mass shootings, overwhelming and bipartisan majorities of voters favor background checks on gun buyers and taking guns from people who are a danger to themselves or others, according to the latest Fox News Poll. Two-thirds also support a ban on “assault weapons,”...Meanwhile, the president’s job ratings are increasingly negative in the shooting aftermath, as 59 percent say Trump is “tearing the country apart,”...Most voters either disapprove (51 percent) of Trump’s tweeting...

Highly likely the poll didn’t lie. The social conservative community is shrinking after years of bullying, intimidating, public ostracising...

Question: What happened to the 65 Million Americans who elected Trump just three years ago? Did they suddenly change their minds about the 2nd Amendment and the ragged state of our beloved country?

Answer: They haven't gone anywhere, and they haven't changed their minds about a single thing. If anything, there are more Deplorables now, than there were when Trump was elected.

Only the weak minded and gullible among us buy into the convenient lies the left is telling about gun attitudes in America.

Don't be weak minded.

Rights are not granted by man, and can not be taken by man.
Firearms are incidental, rather demonstrative.
Take my “right” on your paper.
Enforce your order.
molon labe.

Thank you, fellow patriot!

Is there anything that 2nd Amend supporters would support? For example “stop and frisk”.

I’m 68, and I lived through America’s greatest period. Now that I’m entering my sunset years I am reminded of that, and it saddens me. Democrats are doing to America just what they did to California: Destroying paradise.

Start with a desire...

Create a poll designed to give you the outcome that supports that desire. Regardless of reality.

Report the poll as if its news

Citing the poll as your justification and using it to demoralize and dismiss those who disagree... And enact your desire into law.

Fox leaning left slowly but surely.

The only way we get a hint at the truth is Trumps impromptu pressers and his tweets. The rest of the news is scripted with catch yah headlines and gotcha questions.

Chris Wallace leads the way and Bret Baier shows through when the responder sees through his veiled interrogation . To me his eyes seeth disgust when his cleverly veiled attempt fails.

If true, all this proves is that the DNC Media combined with a Leftist Education System is much more powerful than we could have ever imagined.

We worry about the Government, but your Next Door Neighbors, your Friends and your Relatives can be just as dangerous.

This is the Achilles Heel of Red Flag Laws.

Thank you for your patience. I’ve had many neighbors and even relatives who were prescribed drugs for bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety. They all admitted to neighbors and relatives that they were abusing illegal drugs long before (pot, hallucinogens, meth, benzos, opiods, etc.).

On red flag laws, I’ve also known several people who were medical professionals or in sensitive military occupations when named as respondents in orders of protection after having been deceived for long periods of time by more volatile, addicted mates involved with the radical academic left or crime. The orders of protection were used as tools in disputes. There’s no proper due process with such orders, which are liabilities placed on the jurisdictions of judicial workers. Criminals tend to ignore the orders and harass or attack their victims regardless.

A universal background check system could be used for a system of registration by a political party in administration and with a majority in Congress. Four more years’ worth of young people will have reached voting age in 2020. Most of them have not had equally authoritative and honest fathers or mothers who prefer two-parent families.

As for criminal access to weapons, I once lived and worked in a rough, urban neighborhood for a few years. Stolen weapons were everywhere there, cheap and easy to obtain. From the talk and showing off, it appeared as though all of the addicted criminals had them. In rural and suburban areas, police have often found weapons with addicts and do so to this day.

Younger criminals involved with drugs sometimes show weapons like that to their newer, cleaner girlfriends (potential CIs) in order to prevent them with fear from talking to family members or cleaner friends. Sometimes, newer, cleaner girlfriends are also told about police officers who are ready to neglect to prosecute dealers.

Not a good environment to be starting yet another process that can be used as a tool by associates of criminals or by frightened human trafficking victims. There are already enough legal ways to help deal with criminals, if enough of us will only use those methods. We should start with trees of association between criminals with accompanying maps. It would be good to watch individuals with insanity-ridden profiles who write sincerely to imply threats of mass murders of randomly chosen, innocent victims, but everyone already knew that.

Thanks for the thought provoking comments.

I appreciate your providing them.

Yes, it’s true that criminals don’t obey the laws.

End runs on the system are plentiful.

One wonders why people don’t get prosecuted for supplying those weapons. Are they filing the serial numbers off them?

"One wonders why people don’t get prosecuted for supplying those weapons. Are they filing the serial numbers off them?"

On the serial numbers, yes, sometimes. Although it doesn't matter much with a stolen weapon.

So hypothetically, we have bad Jerry with a little bag of drug and a stolen pistol. Where did he get it? The tiring interrogation/interview yields, if Jerry talks, that he got it from Ivan. What do we have? Jerry's word that he got it from Ivan, who bought it from someone else.

We don't have much, you see? But much time is spent on it. The weapon does time in the evidence room, until it's eventually destroyed. Another problem with universal background checks would be the gradual increase in burglaries and other thefts of weapons. Addicts get pretty desperate for money for drugs.
