Some restaurants use bad judgment.
Some parents use bad judgment.

I have no way of knowing which is which here.

Neither do I, but it’s usually the parents.

A very rational comment. Indeed. What is the truth?

Agreed, but is this fake news? This is leftist state, anything goes for the sake of attention whore’ism.

There’s just so much that could be behind this story it’s not worth commenting one way or another as being in favor of the steakhouse or the son.

Difficult to make a judgement, without video.

My wife and I, being senior citizens and no children at home, eat out fairly regularly.

But when we do, it seems the hostesses always seat us in teh ‘family sections’ with all the screaming children or if not here, they seat us next to the kitchen doors with constant going out and coming in.

We walked out of a Chili’s once because of the seating.......

Yep.

“Special Needs” is not the root password to society.

When people run to the news media to publicize the mundane disappointments they encounter in life, I tend to disregard them.

Some mothers refuse to admit they have a defective child unfit for going out in public places

Years ago, we ran a group home for what were then called “retarded” adults. They were all well behaved, but some of them didn’t have great control over their voices, and some of them looked a little odd. We were all sitting in the back in an 8-person booth at a semi-fast food restaurant and we were asked to leave because some of the other customers didn’t like the way our table looked. This was in Western Pennsylvania.

Well, I do.

The idea that every business has to accommodate every abnormal person at the expense of normal people is absurd. I think of this every time I see a snowflake with a service animal at the airport of in a restaurant. I think of it when peanuts and peanut butter are treated as near lethal weapons. I think of it when some fat slob must be accommodated in a coach seat and to hell with the people next to him/her who paid for a full seat.

Restaurants, especially ones with liquor licenses, are places where most people expect to relax; not to put up with ill-behaved children (or adults). (And yes, I've taken my kids and grandkids to restaurants, but I was always prepared to take them out if I had ANY sense that they might be disturbing others.)

Yours I think is a quite logical and rational position. :-)
