Somebody forgot to tell Mika Brzezinski that Democrats aren't supposed to brazenly discuss exploiting the mass shootings for political purposes.
Today's Morning Joe opened with a clip of Beto speaking about the El Paso shooting. A bit later, Brzezinski said:
"Beto O’Rourke, and his frustration that you could hear in his voice at the top of the show. And I really think he touched a chord in a way he never has in this campaign before because you could really feel the pain. And this is an issue that resonates with voters. This is an issue that resonates with young people who have grown up in the age of mass shootings, afraid they may come to their school because it has become a way of life. It seems to me that this political issue could be something that the Democrats could get some traction on.

I knew that the murderer in Ohio was, but I had not heard that about the murderer in El Paso.

They have been trying to get “traction” on gun control since 1962.
Back then they ONLY wanted to register handguns. “Rifles will not be affected”.
1981 they demanded gun owners “give up their handguns, and you can KEEP your rifles!”

Rest assured that if they can get semi-auto rifles banned they will be back for more, namely handguns.

The liberals have been running our educational system for years. Why aren’t we questioning the damage being done with “classroom discussions” covering everything from gender decisions, homosexuality, legalization of drugs, politics, HATRED OF AMERICA, birth control, white nationalism, racism, global warming.......all are weighty issues that young kids are not equipped to handle.
And to some degree, that’s what I’m afraid of.
There are two many people out there crying “We need to do something” - IOW, gun control, gun registration, etc. They are playing to the soccer moms (many of who voted Dem in 2018), weak males, millennials, etc.
I love my wife dearly. She’s an Independent leaning Republican. But yesterday, she’s saying to me “We need to do something. We need to act”. She was all riled up about this.
There was no talking to her and I suspect that there’ll be no talking to the above-mentioned segment of the population when it comes to this issue.
I fear that when Congress reconvenes (or even in my state) that gun control bills will be flying around legislative chambers like locusts in a wheat field. The pressure is gonna be very hard for even many pro-gun GOP legislators to resist.
There’s some out there that call people like me concern trolls - but I’ve worked and volunteered on enough elections to get a clear sense of how Democrats work an issue and the means by which the work it.
We’ll definitely have our work cut out for us.

If the msm is going to make “white supremacists” out of them from whole cloth and then somehow link them to DJT it is time to play the same game — only with FACTS.
The Dayton shooter was a GUN GRABBER and a supportrd of liawatha who hated President Trump.
The Left appears to be perfectly ok with gun violence as long as it serves their political ends.
