Every single Democrat candidate who took the stage Wednesday night trended on Twitter taking the top nine spots, but wild card Tulsi Gabbard was left off the trending section despite winning the Drudge Report poll.
That didnt stop Obama.
Sorry - that's an idiotic statement considering you are posting on a social media forum.
Also, consider this: I know news almost instantly by following various intel Twitter sources FAR sooner than watching Fox News or even CNN...usually by 30 minutes or more.
Sometimes it's small stuff like the fact a Chinese warship just collided with a Taiwanese cargo vessel - 'YU TAI NO1' - that was 8 minutes ago. Sometimes it's big stuff - like when Iran took the tankers.
That caused oil to spike - and considering I trade futures (and oil is among them), I was able to go long and make some money. Not overrated at all considering I knew about it LONG before that news made it to CNN.
Social media will only decide the election for the Dihimicrats. Real Americans make up their own minds.
Hey, Betty Grable was hawt. I am more of a Rita Hayworth guy, though.
Free Republic is not a social media platform
Social media is anything in which you can share thoughts and ideas. The fact you can share personal messages and content, related to news and blog about it makes it “social.” Is it pure social media? No. But the definition of social media is a “website and other online means of communication that are used by large groups of people to share information and to develop social and professional contacts.” It’s “computer-based technology that facilitates the sharing of ideas, thoughts, and information.” That pretty much sums FR up.
That statement is IDIOT and beyond belief!
What is it with you and socks ?
Social media WILL be deciding the next election.
*** What is it with you and socks ? ***
Not socks. Sockmonkeys. My vintage Sockmonkey collection ended up at the Smithsonian many moons ago. Sockmonkeys = Americana, as does FR.
That is what all it takes at this point with democrats.
FWIW, CNN said Tulsi Gabbard trended #1 on Google tonight.
Anderson Cooper thought he’d take her down in a post debate interview. Mistake on his part.
... horny old geezers who probably have a Betty Grable pin up in their sock drawer.”
Rodney Dangerfield when asked about his sex life (paraphrasing), “Sex? Are you kidding? At my age, most of the time I’m too weak to hold the magazine up.”
Betty Grables picture is the B17 Sentimental Journeys nose art. That B17 Flying Fortress is still flying. It will still be after this bunch of Asshats and their clown car are crushed and sold for scrap.
As with word of mouth it can have more of an impact than traditional media -- many times social media platforms will go "oh, you like X, so let's show you more of X and less of Y. And there is also X1 and X2 related to X"
The net result is polarisation - you see only what is similar to what algorithms show you have liked
Always ride to the sound of the guns.
Twatter throttled her for a long while and then let it trend. Cernahorn says it’s because of him.
“Trump/Gabbard 2020”
Heh.
Totally rigged. Somehow “Assad” (Harris’ lame and slanderous comeback to Gabbard) is trending, though.
If you’re going to be that loose in your definition, a pamphlet is social media, and so is a telephone.
Truth of the matter is that “social media” is an empty marketing buzzword with no useful definition.
