A 79-year-old self-described "cat lover" has been given a dose of paw and order by local authorities, who sentenced her to spend more than a week behind bars for continually doling out munchies to the neighborhood mousers.
In Garfield Heights, Ohio, it's considered a minor misdemeanor to offer food to stray cats and dogs, according to Cleveland.com. Nancy Segula, a resident of the city who has received multiple citations for feeding stray felines, was ordered by a judge last week to spend 10 days in jail, Fox 8 reports.

At first I thought this must be a joke or satire.
People who murder other people go free, but a poor old woman feeding stray cats goes to jail.
Isn’t there a lawyer in that area who would take her case and sue the state?

Cats & women...strange thing. I watched a perfectly solid, middle-aged women go from an attractive & vivacious professional to a shabby, run-down cat-lady with 40+ cats inside & outside her home within 2 or 3 years. spent all her time in money caring & feeding them.
It was a sad thing to watch.
She felt sorry for the cats.
Not to mention that wild, hungry cats will catch birds and eat them.
She helped the cats, but also saved a lot of birds.
Meanwhile strays who wander across the Border are given all manner of freebies.

If she had legally changed her name to Hillary Clinton, she wouldn’t be in jail.
It is sad that she let herself go.
But many times people like cats and dogs, because the animals are more grateful than many people.
