This is why I actively rooted against team “Hate USA”. I watched none of it. The left hates sports and these useful idiots play right into their hands. I will be happy when, four year from now, Rapnoe is replace by a “transgender” male who couldn’t make the men’s team.
The type dominates women’s sports. Often, older lesbian athletes recruit attractive younger girls to “join the team.” Recognizing the danger, parents I knew contrived an invitation for their beautiful, tennis playing teen daughter to spend the summer in LA with her married older brother, his wife, and their two boy-crazy teen daughters. By the end of the summer, tennis was a distant second to fashion and boys.
Smart move by those parents. Totally true what you say. And it’s not just young girls. An acquaintance who became a lesbian at around age 30 very much fell into that lifestyle as a result of her involvement in sports. She’s a fairly attractive young woman from a conservative Catholic family and isn’t the least bit masculine. Yet her involvement with “club sports” in San Francisco (of which it does take much to imagine the demographics) put her on a road that gradually led her to close friendships with dykes to girl-crushes to lesbianism.
When she is badmouthing your country have some balls and step up.
