Democratic-run House will decide Tuesday whether to put at least 300,000 Indian contract workers on a fast track to valuable green cards, so incentivizing more low wage Indian graduates to take U.S. jobs from middle class American graduates.
Roughly 108 Republicans have co-sponsored the green card giveaway, called HR.1044, the “”Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act of 2019” — even though the Democrats’ legislation is backed by Silicon Valley investors who oppose GOP.
Democrats also have kept the legislation secret — the bill has had no hearing or committee votes — and it is being quarterbacked by the immigration lawyer who helped Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer write the disastrous “Gang of Eight” amnesty in 2013.

These 1.2 million foreign workers are eager to take Americans’ jobs at low wages, in part, because the federal government also allows employers to nominate them for hugely valuable green cards. Companies save a fortune in salaries by offering this taxpayer-funded bonus to their foreign contract-workers.
Companies have also used this green card process to create an extra army of roughly 350,000 contract-workers in the United States. Under federal rules, the short-term contract-workers become long-term indentured workers once their employers file the green card application. This subservient work-and-wait legal status continues for years until the contract-workers get out of the backlog once they get green cards and become legal immigrants.
“Employers love [because] this is an astonishing subsidy for tech employers … this bill would extend that [backlog and indentured service] model … This will turn the entire employment-based immigration system into the indentured-service model,” a source told Breitbart.
These two armies of 1.5 million contract workers take prestigious jobs in healthcare, business, engineering, software, teaching, research, journalism, in Silicon Valley, in the fashion industry, in universities and even cutting edge, computer chip manufacturing companies.

There are only a handful of things I don’t like out our president. His interest in importing “foreign talent” is one of them. Great for US businesses, bad for US workers.
This story first broke about one week ago on a couple of the immigration specialist websites.
You know what disturbs me the most?
No mention of Donald Trump.
Our Immigration-Warrior-In-Chief (LOL!) has not said ONE word about Congress trying to fast track this veto proof immigration bill past his desk.
Trump is not stupid or weak.
In my opinion, Trump is totally (and silently) complicit on passing this bill.

Yesterday I emailed my Rep. Today I will call my Senators as there is a companion bill in Senate.
Then if this passes, I will start contacting the President. He is listening to some of the wrong people on this matter.
Going forward, it is going to be tough out there for US students graduating with tech degrees. Wouldn’t it be nice if they got good paying jobs that would allow them to pay back loans, buy homes, etc?

I work with some of these guys, and, to a man/woman, they would be an ASSET to the United States in every way.
They are bright, well educated, fluent in English, socially and fiscally conservative, and hard workers.
It is not common for us to find such qualities in American born STEM graduates.
Furthermore, tt seems most American tech grads want to design web pages and write phone apps. The Indians have the tech savvy and ambition to bang bits in the hardware, which too many American tech graduates find arcane, tedious, and even inglorious.
Pay more and you will get more. Nice talk form an anti American traitor. Screw you. Go live in Mumbai.

This is another move that will hurt middle class AMERICAN CITIZENS who work in tech and/or have kids getting tech degrees.

The key word is ‘some.’
Out the total number, maybe 5 percent are outstanding. The next 25 percent are cheap, compliant labor. The remainder... you could replace them with Howard, Fine, & Howard. The Stooges would do a better job.

I know it isn’t just tech.
Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, a kid would get his first corporate job out of college & would start to pay their student loans.
Now, we give those openings to foreign nationals across the board.
Don’t even start me about the older workers who have been permanently displaced by foreign nationals.
I’ve worked in high-tech & I’ve been a hiring manager. I’ve dealt with H1-Bs whose educational credentials didn’t match their claims on their H1-B petitions.
I’ve also sat across from displaced US tech workers who’ve told me they’re about to lose their home, due to their replacement by H1-B workers.
I’ve sat across from older workers whose tech careers are now finished, due to H1-B.
When I look at the damage caused by H1-B, I’ve simply had enough.
The majority of H1-B/OPT workers need to be shipped home.
