The statistics that the NYT relies upon to say that the USA is not number 1 are undoubtedly dragged down by a) inviting the entire Third World to move here pursuant to the NYT-favored open border policy, and b) the social destruction wrought by massive welfare spending and anti-family policies, also promoted by the NYT crowd.
Which was better fir an unbroken 100 years?50 years?

I would think that goodly number of those who work at the Times are foreign born and feel no real allegiance to the USA... If a real war ever started they would run like rats from a burning ship... Kinda like the lefties did in the 60's....
There isn’t much wrong in this country that could not be solved by getting rid of the illegals and socialists. We need to deport 2 socialists with every illegal.
Whatever issues we still have would be much easier to deal with.
