Despite criticism from Holocaust survivors, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., continues to use the term “concentration camps” to describe the federal detention centers temporarily housing the massive wave of migrants who cross the border illegally to apply for asylum.
Ocasio-Cortez’s chief target of criticism has been President Trump, but as President Obama’s former ICE chief pointed out this week, the detention centers existed during the Obama administration.
So CNN’s Jake Tapper asked the self-described democratic socialist congresswoman if she called the centers “concentration camps” while Obama was president.
“Well, at the time, I was working in a restaurant,” she began. “But I do – I absolutely was outspoken against Obama’s immigration policies and the detention of families then.
She insisted she’s held a “remarkably consistent position.”

So she had no opinion or stance then.”
One other point. I noticed she was proud of the Wayfair employees for walking out of their office to protest the sale of bedding to the government. It seems like AOC, not being satisfied with depriving New Yorkers of a chance to work for Amazon, has now turned her attention to Wayfair. Great Job AOC! I wonder, though, if your “solidarity” extends to sharing your salary with those whom you have deprived of an opportunity to make a fair wage? Somehow, I doubt it.
Has anyone been starved, worked to death or experimented on while being detained on the Southern Border under either Obama or Trump? No? Then it isn’t a concentration camp and to compare the two is really morally reprehensible and really an insult to those who died by genocidal maniacs.
As far as you know. But probably not. Mrs rktman’s mom and family spent time in camps due to them being anti hitler. Her aunt was beaten an raped and when they were finally liberated, by some miracle, they were re-united with ‘Oppa’ who had been conscripted and “lucked” out and served as a cook. So, it’s a weird thing that ‘Oppa’ wore the uniform while the family was in the camps. Mrs rktman gets a little POd when she hears this BS from these assclowns.

Tapper knows A-OCK is a liability to the Democrat/Left Party. He knows that every day Pelosi fails to crush her (or at least shut her up!) Trump picks up valuable (though electorally irrelevant) “popular votes”.
