House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) repeatedly referred to former Trump aide Hope Hicks as “Ms. Lewandowski” during a closed-door hearing this week.
The 273-page transcript of Hicks's testimony, which was released Thursday night, reveals that Nadler referred to her by the last name of former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, before apologizing.
After she introduced herself at the start of the interview as Hope Hicks, Nadler called her “Ms. Lewandowski” three times before Hicks interrupted to correct him, according to the transcript.
“Yeah. Ms. Lewandowski, I think, in reading this — "
“My name is Ms. Hicks,” she said.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Hicks,” Nadler replied. “I’m preoccupied.”
Hicks testified for nearly eight hours Wednesday about her work in the Trump administration, though White House lawyers repeatedly blocked her from answering lawmakers' questions.
During the interview, lawmakers pressed Hicks on Lewandowski’s relationship to President Trump during the campaign and whether Trump directed Lewandowski to deliver a script to Attorney General Jeff Sessions amid special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
The script, which Mueller’s team said Hicks typed up, directed Sessions to say Trump was “being treated very unfairly” regarding the probe and that he would “meet with the special prosecutor to explain this is very unfair.”

I think Nadler was insinuating that Hope and Cory were having an affair in the White House. What a POS Nadler and his fellow travelers are.

Nadler is a decrypted soul. I would want a sleazy person like this representing me. He needs also to be censured for his remarks! Or are all Democrats sleaze bags?
He’s a piece of garbage, who did this intentionally. For a party so obsessed with pronouns, he would never make the mistake of Ms. vs. Missus nor confuse ‘Hicks’ with ‘Lewandowski’. On the second usage I would have addressed the chamber and explained this slander and why Nadler was doing it intentionally and refused his apology.
