Chairman Jerry Nadler has to put on a show of pursuing President Trump because the party’s left wing demands it. But Speaker Nancy Pelosi won’t let Nadler go to impeachment hearings because she knows the broader public will see it as a partisan outrage.
Pelosi’s bid to appease the extremists runs to quotes about how she wants to see Trump “in prison.” Nadler, meanwhile, must resort to, yes, props.

This backfired since the only quotes were from the Repubs asking about the FISA warrant.
Nadler could always resort to doing the actual business his constituents expected.

This narrative in some ways tries to make Pelosi look diplomatic. But her strategy is a weak one, and likely a losing one. She cannot lead Congress or her caucus so she lets them flounder around babbling. This Congress has accomplished nothing, and will accomplish nothing because of her poor leadership and lack of vision, and the voters are no fools they will notice it (and of course, the campaign will be all about that).
Pelosi and the Dems are holding the country hostage. That is their strategy: “If you want us to pass laws, remove Trump”. It won’t work.
Did Jerry Nadler at least find the buffet well-stocked?

This is what his constituents want him to do. His district is a ridiculously, gerrymandered chunk of Brooklyn .... all liberal hipsters, etc ... and the West Side of Manhanttan .... liberals from there. He’s doing exactly what they want. Now, let the President come out and say that he’s going to start resettling refugees, of all sorts of 3rd world ugly, into those neighborhoods and watch them go bananas.

Dean’s participation in this was a complete farce, and I do believe the public recognized it as such.
It was a bust but I doubt the public can recognize their backsides with both hands. Each day I'm allowed to open my eyes, I'm less impressed with the generally dumb public.
Nothing would please me more, than to see Jerry “Hindenburg” Nadler go down in flames. 👍
