Robert Mueller exploited cellphone GPS to track Trump associates
WASHINGTON TIMES ^ | 6/8/2019 | rowan scarborough

Robert Mueller says he was able to pinpoint security company executive Erik Prince’s precise location for several hours in January 2017 by matching his mobile phone signal to a cell site near Trump Tower in New York City.

The special counsel’s report discloses the use of this investigative technique, by which police determine a suspect’s location via a cellphone’s GPS signal.

The Prince narrative is one instance in unredacted sections of the report in which Mr. Mueller’s team explicitly discloses cellphone tracking. It raises the question of whether the FBI applied the process to other investigative subjects — a phone’s GPS signal can disclose its exact location within a few feet. One of the first requests the FBI makes when confronting subjects is to ask for their electronic devices.

The fact Mr. Mueller could pinpoint Mr. Prince’s exact whereabouts suggest he used GPS readouts, which prosecutors can subpoena from cellular service providers.

Was the person who was monitored an actual suspect? Was there probable cause a crime was committed and a search warrant issued?

Just store your phone in a foil bag when not in use. You won’t be able to receive calls, but it won’t be trackable either.

FISA warrants give agents far-reaching power to look for dirt on their target, and all of their contacts/associates.

Crossfire Hurricane was Hussein’s gift to his successor Crooked Hillary, who would use the dirt to prosecute Trump, his family, and other deplorables while protecting Hussein’s “legacy”.

GPS is the tip of the iceberg.

By the way, though it's possible that in some circumstances, one's location within a few feet may be ascertained with cell tower information, it's more likely not. GPS is a far better determiner for that, but potential echoes and obstructions plague both technologies. Fortunately for the tracker, tracking over time almost always reliably removes the doubts and outliers.

It's a darned good bet most were not suspects for whom there was a legitimate probable cause of a crime. Yet, the investigators certainly ran roughshod over their rights of all of us as they used all the levers of the mightiest government surveillance tools to prompt to them that something might appear out of place.

In other words, the "investigation" relied on the principle of a witch hunt left, right, up and down. When a name like Erik Prince came up, out came the figurative drool that reflected the political and hatred-oriented motives of Team Obama.

There was no presumption of innocence nor protection of the rights of Trump's campaign entourage. The proper predicate for all of this full court press against PDJT NEVER EXISTED!

It’s not spying. It’s covert surveillance.

Ever wonder why you can’t remove the battery from any of the new top end cell phones now?

This, right here. Same reason your battery dies even when the phone is “off”, it never really is anymore.

Nice case, you can get them much cheaper on Amazon though.

However, buying a Faraday bag on-line from a credit card only store is perhaps defeating the purpose, unless you have a pre-paid card handy.

Just leave the cell phone home.

People drove around for decades in un-reliable cars and never had a cell phone.…

Back when there were pay phones everywhere. Pay phones are pretty much gone. Mobile phones are a must when driving these days.

So...they took the BEST part of a “cell phone,” the part where you can HAVE IT WITH YOU IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, and made it toxic because they can find out WHERE YOU ARE, NOW AND FOREVER!

THAT is known as one of the “side effects” that the drug people warn us about.

Pretty nifty. THE LEFT DESTROYS A GOOD THING ONCE AGAIN.

I am struck with the fact that Mueller, having nothing of substance to take Trump to task for, none the less used extreme measures to entrap him, and came up with a big fat goose egg.

This man belongs in prison.

He should have seen the evidence they had and shut down the effort on day one. He had a goal. It wasn’t to serve justice. It was to get Trump at all cost.

How dare he participate in a coup in our nation, to overthrow his man.

Trump isn’t perfect, but standing next to his enemies, he’s the tall one. They are the ankle biters.
