California Gov. Gavin Newsoms first budget wont look exactly like he wanted, but a deal lawmakers released late Sunday largely fulfills the objectives he set six months ago when he first outlined his spending plan.
Lawmakers want to use an extraordinary state budget surplus to expand health care options for undocumented people while stockpiling billions of dollars in reserves in anticipation of an economic downturn, according to documents the Legislatures Budget Conference Committee released.

If I was sweltering in a house with no power, therefore no A/C, I would be outraged that any state surplus was going to free healthcare for illegals, rather than repairs and upgrades to the grid.
Summer is just beginning, and so are the brownouts, so no one's complaining yet. That will change soon.
I wonder what will happen to California when the last taxpayer leaves?
What about the record number of homeless in today’s California? Do they too get this “free” benefit paid for by all the working folks so they can continue to lay around drinking and shooting up drugs?
Illegals will flock to ans stay in California.
I like this!
It’s easy. Get yourself arrested by ICE sneaking into the US from Mexico, declare yourself an illegal immigrant, and PRESTO! FREE EVERYTHING!
Because Romneycare has worked so well for MA...
SNORT.
<><> A US citizen in California must acquire health insurance policy regardless of need or affordability or the state will penalize you.
<><> An illegal alien living in California will be provided with a taxpayer-subsidized medical policy.
======================================
Theyre here illegally, probably working off the books, paying no taxes. With a buncha sap-happy liberals doling out the money,
illegals can show up, lie about income and get Medicaid, while remitting US dollars to Mexico, to buy beachfront property in Acapulco.
Doesnt undocumented mean there is no paper proof of ones status? How, exactly does one prove they have no proof of their status? What is to prevent a sick Dakotan from claiming to be illegal?
At the same time they are doing this, they are informing the states residents of the many places in California that supposedly have lead in their water. Of course they play up the child exposure to this.
The goal is to get people to approve of some new state revenue increase, as I understand it.
We can afford to give away free healthcare to citizens of other nations living here illegally, but cant afford our own responsibilities.
Snort. The lead in the water is likely from the homeowner’s own plumbing. And CA won’t do jack about THAT.
The locusts will migrate, leaving a desert behind.
Please, can we just wall off CA?
The list goes like this -
1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 10-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (40 years to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population)
7) demonstrate English proficiency to acquire citizenship and pass civics test.
Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport.
Also consider reciprocation of the laws of the countries of origin of the illegal aliens. For example, Mexico doesnt allow land ownership or voting to immigrants, and doesnt honor birthright citizenship like its citizens expect from the U.S. We should offer the same deal to them.
well heck throw in free tickets to the billion dollar screw up bullet train so they can get there faster
must be the water or loco weed in state capital..
I cant address that, not sure how they came up with the stats.
I do grow weary of them blowing public funds on the bullet train nobody is dying to have, and the health care of foreign nationals, while we fend for ourselves.
