Republican Lawmakers Refuse to Support Trump or His Voters — Is It Time for a New Party?
GP ^ | June 7,2019 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 06/07/2019 12:15:08 PM PDT by Hojczyk

The Republican Party never much liked Donald Trump or what he represented.

The GOP and establishment conservative groups never much liked Trump’s supporters.

Republicans were fine at cowering behind their desks at the first sign of adversity. They were used to making promises and not following through. They were happy to cede power to a radical fascist left that continues to tear away at the fabric of this great nation.

When Trump won Paul Ryan said he would build a wall. Paul Ryan lied… repeatedly. He never had any intention of building a wall.

Either did Mitch McConnell.

When Trump declared a national emergency at the border 12 Senate Republicans voted against him. TWELVE!

In May GOP senators killed off Trump supporter Steve Moore’s nomination to the Federal Reserve Board.

They said they would not support tariffs on our southern enemy. They won’t support this president.

But the worst abuses are on the US Constitution.

Since 2016 the far left tech giants and radical liberal groups have been eliminating conservative voices online. They are harassing companies to remove advertising from conservative platforms and FOX News shows. Hundreds of conservatives have been affected.

The left is using fascist tactics to rid the internet of conservative voices. And NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING TO STOP THEM!

No one.

When conservatives were kicked off YouTube or Twitter or Facebook the GOP said nothing and did nothing.

When Trump supporters get their ass kicked by an Antifa mob, Republicans do nothing.

It is clear the Republican Party is AWOL. They are like a shell company. Just a name and nothing else.

Maybe it’s time to think about a new movement? Maybe it’s time to Brexit the GOP?

When people continue to show you who they are, believe them.

Didn't the election of diseased-riddled, corrupt, and decadent Bill Clinton teach your third-partiers anything?

I'll make it a very simple review: Clinton won because Ross Perot stepped in and split the conservative vote. So now you clowns are trying to construct another way for the vote to be split?

What is needed is for the people to listen to other candidates and not be afraid to give them a chance. There is no reason that McConnell and Graham to be in the US Senate. All you have to do is ask...What have they done?

Graham wants amnesty. McConnell wants to give the country to the Chinese. The list goes on and on. And no matter how much money an incumbent has in their ‘warchest’, it shouldn’t matter. What did they promise? How did they voted? What have they accomplished? If the answers are: they promised the moon, voted against and obstructed the President and accomplished nothing....time to go.

Thune says that tariff’s on Mexico are not what South Dakotan’s want. Really? South Dakotan’s want 100’s of thousands of illegals pouring over the border, uncontrollably. That is what they want?

Exact reason I left GOP after 34 years and registered as an Independent.

Then stay home and cry yourself to sleep at night.

I'll take a GOP that is 50% effective over a Democratic Party that is an enemy force in this country, or a third party that doesn't win anything.

When Donald Trump decided to run for President, did he go out and start a third party? No. He played the nomination process perfectly and basically hijacked the GOP.

Look what happened in the UK last night in the Peterborough by-election: the conservative vote was split between the Conservatives (UK equivalent of GPOe) and The Brexit Party. Result: LABOUR WON.

RINOS must be expelled from the Republican party and replaced with true conservatives. No third party...this will result in Democrats winning.

If possible. But the left right liberal conservative wedge the deep states uses, has a weakness. Farage exploited it. Keep the Deep State split between two or more parties. He blew them out of the water in no time.

It’s all about money. Most of the GOP senators depend on big business for campaign donations. Big business wants illegals in the country for low wages. What else could be the reason for these scumbags to go against Trump on immigration. We could have had the wall when we had the House, but no dice.

Yep. A takeover, not a split.

We have to primary every GOP legislator that’s not supporting Trump out of office.

Problem is, most of the same sheep who bleat that third parties don't work, also bleat that in any given district with a RINO legislator, a conservative is not 'electable' over a Rat. They have no answers, only preemptive surrender.

The Lincoln Party. We go back to the moment Lincoln died and start from there.

I can see how he hijacked it. He let too many people get away, Winning the presidency is not hijacking a party. Too many powerful old-time republicans sabotaging him.

I only cry myself to sleep when I think of all the idiots who are republicans, not conservative.

It’s not going to happen overnight, but progress is being made.

I know the midterms were a disaster, but the good news is that it also purged the GOP of a lot of deadweight.

It’s not going to change by creating a third party.

And if what you say is true and if those GOP voters are right, we might have to live with RINO’s until we educate the GOP voters that conservatives can win.

Trump did.

Better for Trump people to take over the GOP and kick the bastards out.

Impossible. The GOP is rotten to its core and unreformable. Whenever conservatives get close to controlling the GOP the Romney progressive wing of the party simply throws in with Democrats and outflanks us.

Exactly!
And in time they will be gone! Patience and effort and the GOP will be the Trump party.

Starting a new party from scratch is stupid on steroids!
We don’t have a parliamentary system so more then 2 parties makes zero sense. And yes I know my American History there have been third parties 4th parties etc. They get marginalized very quickly and the issue that caused the “fringe” party to gel if its worth anything is soon adopted by a major party. Also the major parties over time have acquired quasi-governmental status (Not bad for being private organizations!) and have gotten state legislation passed that ensures their prominence. You would have to go into the state legislatures and get that changed. You think just getting on the ballot is hard try legislation! Additionally if you make a serious effort to start a separate Trump party all it will do is split the conservative vote and cause Trump to be defeated. Its too hard a row to hoe and too risky a thing to do. Best to take over the GOP Trump has like 80%-90% of the rank & file GOP support. Smarter to use it rather then waste it.

We’re not a coalition government like the UK but when the Brexit Party goes from nothing to perhaps naming the PM in two months, there’s a message there.
