Salesforce Opens a New Window. has updated its acceptable-use policy, telling its customers to either stop selling certain firearms or forget about using its software, a report stated.
The company, which describes Opens a New Window. itself as an online solution for customer relationship management, updated its policy in April, The Washington Post Opens a New Window. first reported.
The tech giants policy states that it was barring customers that sell select firearms, including certain semi-automatic firearms, 3D printed guns, ghost guns, and firearms without serial numbers. The policy also forbids customers from selling certain firearm accessories, including multi-burst trigger devices.

I think firearms dealers need to make these twerps bake the cake.
This is an huge opening for a Competitor.
How do they know whether the goods they don’t like are sold? Do they spy on their customers?
We should then ban our product purchases from any company that uses Salesforce.
Ask. If the company uses it. Don’t do business with them and state why.
Yeah I’d say so.
Also, in the bigger picture, this isn’t 1930s nazi Germany, where Jews didn’t have much in the way of firearms, before the 30s when I assume it would have been much harder to get one.
There’s already Hundreds of Millions of guns out there.
There’s some folks i know with COMPLETELY LEGAL stockpiles of guns and ammo that would make a Rambo movie seem tame.
I DONT KNOW enough about the life span of guns to know the turnover rate. Why lie about what I don’t know?
But it seems they can last a long time if taken care of (what I gather from FReepers).
This is BAD what salesforce is doing, but in the big picture, the numbers of places where guns still can be bought and the SHEER number of firearms out there make it seem that the cat is WAY THE #### out of the bag on this one.
In the most EXTREME case, (dems controlling everything) the black market would be YUGE (see ANY tribe or group in conflict with a major power. They ALWAYS seem to be able to get guns).
That plus what’s already out there could take down a small country. Or maybe a big one with a less sophisticated military than the U.S or China.
You gun guys can feel free to critique and even destroy anything I said :) It would be interesting to see how far off a non gun expert is in his assessment :)
So if Im a gun dealer and I call an AR-15 an X15 Mobile Phone in my sales records, Ill be OK? :-P
If you are in business you have to be a complete fool to let a software company dictate how you do business. They need to tell these self-righteous jackasses to take a hike and bankrupt them. Delusions of grandeur is a mental disorder.
A properly cared for firearm can last through many generations.
Their contracts give them no control over what their software is used to sell and they are largely HR software. Sue their asses for trying to take control of a private business.
Maybe... for a while.
You’d need codes for the magazines, tripod, ammo, sling...
But seriously, how do they know? Do they just write it in as add-on contract condition? Wouldn’t that be illegal?
Or, as I initially suggested, do they tap into and review their customers’ business records? That would be like the love-child of Google and the IRS.
Early investors include Larry Ellison, Magdalena Yesil, Halsey Minor, Stewart Henderson, Mark Iscaro, and Igor Sill of Geneva Venture Partners, as well as Nancy Pelosi.
Every Democrat is a violent totalitarian thug.
I DIDN’T KNOW if the specials you see on TV where a gun is over 100 years old and still quite usable was the exception or the very real possibility.
You just answered that question. WOW.
Would that other products could last that long!
Properly cared for probably takes a decent amount of effort, I assume, to last that long?
Rust? Aged parts? Frequency of us? These play any part in the lifespan? thanks.
All nonsense, pure breach of contract if they try to filter out those sales.
Keep your eyes open, in a few months there will be a major security breech with these assholes.
Short term solution - these products are now Level 10 Tasers.
Salesforce is Cloud Based. Everything is managed centrally.
I have an 1892 Remington shotgun. Shoots fine, even with modern loads.
Wow.
Care to throw up a pic? :)
Must be incredible to own one that old.
You have to clean and lube after you use them. Don’t store blued guns in leather. Stuff like that,
You could conceivably wear one out, but that would be a boatload of shooting for most calibers.
I have a S&W revolver that belonged to my grandfather. When he died my dad got it. I got it a few years ago (dad is fine, thanks) and it is in excellent condition. Very accurate too.
