I was a long-time NR subscriber until Goldberg started spewing his “Conservative Lite” nonsense. NR was founded on opposition to the Republican establishment, not for the purpose of being co-opted by that establishment. Good riddance.
He just comes across as a know it all and that is just a real turn off.
I should add that perhaps his most odious and obnoxious position was that in recent months when he tried to smear American patriotism and self-government in that the American government should serve the best interests of American citizens and not global interests as some sort of Nazi movement.

Given that there’s no shortage of Trump-haters in the media, I’m at a loss as to what he expects to accomplish with his venture. I suspect he’ll be back at NRO soon enough, when this venture flops, big time. The National Review gig is a pretty good one. He gets north of $200K a year for his jumped-up blog posts.
