Secret FBI tapes that accuse Martin Luther King Jr of having extramarital affairs with '40 to 45 women' and even claim he 'looked on and laughed' as a pastor friend raped a parishioner, exist an author has claimed. The civil rights hero was also heard allegedly joking he was the founder of the 'International Association for the Advancement of P***y-Eaters'.
The shocking files could lead to a 'painful historical reckoning' for the man who is celebrated across the world for his campaign against racial injustice, according to one biographer. The FBI surveillance tapes detailing his indiscretions are being held in a vault at the U.S. National Archives and are not due for release until 2027. But David Garrow, a biographer of King who won a Pulitzer Prize for his 1987 book Bearing the Cross about the Baptist minister, has unearthed the FBI summaries of the various incidents.
In an article to be published in Standpoint, Garrow tells how the FBI planted transmitters in two lamps in hotel rooms booked by King in January 1964, according to The Sunday Times.

But who wants a BLVD named after them in a shitty part of town?
Taint a legend so pedifiles and drug drink Cosby’s are not “ that tainted”
This tells one what is coming not what happened in
the past
Tear down all his statues.
Why are we conservatives (rightly) skeptical when completely unsupported negative rumors are floated about Trump, but some of us so willing to believe the same about others?
I could accept that MLK may not have been a paragon of moral virtue, and may have had affairs. Fine - that's not exactly unknown. But this idea that he laughed while a woman was getting raped is so over the top that I'd have to hear the tapes for myself before considering it plausible.
I also don't quite understand why some in this thread seem to hold such antipathy for MLK. The laws mandating that black people couldn't use public transportation and facilities on the same basis as white people was fundamentally immoral, and deserved to be resisted. businesses that treated all black people as unwelcome or second-class patrons deserved to be challenge.
MLK consistently pushed for addressing those issues with non-violence only, and for that, was hated by black radicals. That was a noble endeavor on his part, and one that those of us in the Party of Lincoln should endorse and admire. His message stands in stark contrast to the racist crap that masquerades as "racial justice" today.
We frankly could have used a guy like him when BLM was in its ascendancy, because he would have been an "All Lives Matter" kind of guy.
Right? I’m for deleting MLK day and bringing back Abe Lincoln’s birthday.
Did you know Reverend King? Do you know anyone who can testify or provide evidence of these accounts? If not then you're just Tool being used.
This has been long known, this isn’t news at all.
He obviously couldn't say what was going on, but he did say that MLK always had a couple of long legged, red headed white women come up the back stairs and join him in his room during his stay.
Could have been consultants or something I guess, but I always suspected...
Notice it’s UK press
Why release the tapes?
My view, as well.
A truth that's told with bad intent, Beats all the lies you can unvent.
William Blake
To my mind, this is less about what than why the reveal now.
My Dad was in Army CI in the mid fifties. He used to tell about how they would infiltrate these civil rights organizations because of their influence on some Army bases.
While he would not divulge stuff that was classified he would always say these people were not as wonderful as the media made them out to be. But, he said that about all politicians.
Exposure to the real world is sometimes the best education a man can get.
“That does not mean he never uttered any profound ideas or ideals. He did.”
Uttering profound ideas and ideals is definitely not an indication of character, especially when they are plagiarized, as King was known to do. Anyone can quote scripture, or the writings of our Founding Fathers and/or their sources.
I suppose now the Media will start to point out that MLK was a Republican.
What he is and what he was is not the story
The story is why now and why him, now
Good post. If one doesn’t know by now that MLK was a scumbag, blame poor education...
MLK at the Highlander Folk School for Communist Cadre, school shown below
His legal name was MIKE KING.
MLK Jr.'s pastor father took a trip to Europe where he was deeply smitten by the life story of the German religious rebel/reformer Martin Luther. The man returned and legally changed his OWN name to Martin Luther King, instructing his congregation to call his son, "Martin Luther King, Jr.", which they did.
Was he charismatic, was he a powerful speaker whose caust was just...?
Yes.
Was he a leftist philanderer with very shakey academic credentials..?
Yes.
Is that the pedophile scumbag Yagoda there on the right, who gets ‘disappeared’ in the second pic? Too bad they couldn’t have done that to all three of them, who is it, Molotov, Stalin, and some ‘famous’ general (see him only in profile); may they all burn, burn burn
