Why are we conservatives (rightly) skeptical when completely unsupported negative rumors are floated about Trump, but some of us so willing to believe the same about others?
I could accept that MLK may not have been a paragon of moral virtue, and may have had affairs. Fine - that's not exactly unknown. But this idea that he laughed while a woman was getting raped is so over the top that I'd have to hear the tapes for myself before considering it plausible.
I also don't quite understand why some in this thread seem to hold such antipathy for MLK. The laws mandating that black people couldn't use public transportation and facilities on the same basis as white people was fundamentally immoral, and deserved to be resisted. businesses that treated all black people as unwelcome or second-class patrons deserved to be challenge.
MLK consistently pushed for addressing those issues with non-violence only, and for that, was hated by black radicals. That was a noble endeavor on his part, and one that those of us in the Party of Lincoln should endorse and admire. His message stands in stark contrast to the racist crap that masquerades as "racial justice" today.
We frankly could have used a guy like him when BLM was in its ascendancy, because he would have been an "All Lives Matter" kind of guy.
His antics have been known for a long time.
Doesn’t mean he didn’t do any good things, but he was a communist as well, and to be that’s anti-American.
Maybe because some of us think he was a communist trying to make America a communist country and he promoted that agenda. The truth is the truth no matter where it goes.
Well ya know what, #### him.
Hes not alive and MUCH BETTER SOUTHERNERS have been destroyed for MUCH LESS.
You are of the age of the “Gentleman Loser”, and I dont mean that in a disparaging way.
You believe in playing by the rules and being fair.
I bet you are even a very good man.
But those days are over.
It’s a fight to the death.
And you have to hit back JUST AS HARD or HARDER to win.
I share your sentiment. I find those here that are quick to assume the worst are just as guilty as lefties reacting to anything anti-Trump.
Careful what you listen to.
I think everyone here really agrees and is 100% supportive of all the great things that were accomplished as a result of MLK’s voice.
BUT, now things have gotten absurdly out of hand. And that is the reaction to this hypocrisy and anti-White racism that we see on this thread.
1. Destroying Confederate historical statutes and condemning nearly all our Founding Fathers.
2. Rewriting not just Civil War history, but all of US history, back to its origins, taking everything out of historical context.
3. Defining everything in terms or race and hatred and promoting lies to advance a warped divisive agenda.
4. False accusations against political leaders, police and anyone who is not black. Attacking viciously all non-liberal Black politicians.
5. Pulling the race card and using color to promote a false narrative in education, employment, the media, hoaxes every where!
Destroying America in the name of race is a sick agenda, it has got to stop.
We do note that these same folks who define themselves through their race-card have no problem killing their own in amazingly high numbers.
The most dangerous place for a black baby is in his own mother’s womb.
Yeah, I’m reluctant to join the bash band wagon, too.
If for no other reason, his example might slow down
a few ferals in their race to the bottom.
There was a lot of evil, disgusting racism in the 50s & 60s. Worse during the 30s. Shouldn’t be forgotten.
OTOH, a lot of us are tired of having Saint MLK shoved down our throats with a coating of ‘white men shouldn’t be allowed to exist’ on top of him.
Also: MLK was The REVEREND MLK, Jr. I don’t care about Trump’s affairs because he isn’t my preacher. But if my pastor was using hookers, he’d be fired. Those who lecture on morality and hold themselves up as morally special ought to at least meet the standards the vast majority of men meet. Such as, “Thou shalt not use hookers”...
