Pakistan: heatstroke center violently shut down, taught Ramadan lesson during fasting hours to not serve water
If you suffered from heatstroke during Ramadan fasting hours where sharia zealots were roaming about, woe be unto you. For them, religious edict transcends human well being–no concern, no love, no caring, just religious obedience.
A “water outlet, set up at Ayub Gate, is one of the many centres set up by the Sukkur Municipal Corporation (SMC) to provide immediate relief to victims of heatstroke as the maximum temperatures in certain upper Sindh areas in recent days remained between 40 and 47 degrees Celsius. Such centres normally function at peak hours ie from 10am to 5pm.” Armed Islamic zealots stormed the “heatstroke centre in the city and resorted to firing into the air, forcing its operators to take to their toes.” They “objected to the operation of such centres during the fasting hours. They told operators of several centres to shut them ‘or face the consequences'”.
Although these zealots are painted to be “some radical group“, there is no further reporting about them being detained and prosecuted. That’s because their behavior is within Pakistan’s ‘norm’. In fact, other such municipal heatstroke centers were advised to close. Pakistan is a state sponsor of jihad terror; infamous for its blasphemy laws, forced conversions, forced marriage of young Christian and Hindu girls, and other abuses in the name of Islam. This incident is by no means an aberration for Pakistan.

SUKKUR: Armed men, believed to be activists of some radical religious group, on Thursday stormed a heatstroke centre in the city and resorted to firing into the air, forcing its operators to take to their toes.

Some radical religious activists, taking it as a violation of the Ehteram-i-Ramazan Ordinance, objected to the operation of such centres during the fasting hours. They told operators of several centres to shut them “or face the consequences”, according to Mr Taufiq Bandhani, SMC’s contractor of the centres.
However, the operators under threat appeared not convinced by their argument that people not suffering from heatstroke were largely being served water.
After repeatedly issuing such threats and getting annoyed by the operators’ defiance, a group of armed radicals stormed the Ayub Goth centre and forced its operators to shut it down. They fired into the air making the operators flee
All cultures are equally virtuous, no culture is superior.

I suffered heat stroke when I was 17. Rode my bike on a hot day wearing jeans and a band T-shirt, went into a small and very well air conditioned place, then saw my vision close into a circle. Woke up on the floor with a little cut above one of my eyes, may have lost it had I fallen on it.
Those people are stupid on so many different levels that it’s astounding. I’m surprised they’re not tearing down all modern buildings.
If they get heat stroke, it is because Allah wills it.

Month long daytime fasting during summer...makes perfect sense for a desert religion. I do Intermittent Fasting religiously, thankfully coffee and water are still allowed.

Being able to flex normal rules to address unusual situions requires a higher level of thinking than mindlessly following the rules. Any monkey or rat can be programmed to follow rules. Being able to think critcally, and at time paradoxically and abstractly requires some IQ.
