It’s really sad that some folks are so stupid they actually think Trump and others don’t understand that Kim is untrustworthy, a brigand, incorrigible, and irredeemable. During negotiations, everyone is worthy of praise and feigned friendship, if it advances the negotiations. If it doesn’t work, at least it has been tried.

No one has heralded our negotiations as ‘Peace in Our Time’ or by any other terms equal to it. A good face was put on things, to help make our adversary feel like he was being respected, something you have to do to negotiate in good faith.

Reagan coined it precisely right. We shoot for,... “Peace, but verify.” That’s exactly what we have done to this point. In the end, we couldn’t verify.

Due diligence requires that a peaceful method of ending a stalemate is attempted, before our troops have to die and our nation is put at extreme risk.

Our Congress, the U. N. and other global players know that we have done everything we could to end this peacefully.

It is now evident that a rogue dictator who kills his subjects at will, starves them, spends far too much of his nation’s money on global weapons, when nobody gives a rats ass about one square inch of his nation. Nobody wants to invade North Korea.

Now it appears we will have to, and Trump and his team have done the necessary groundwork to justify just that course of action.

Sadly, some fools don’t have the tools to grasp any of this.

We are thinking on the same line . Power struggle within. (Maybe instigated by the recent trip to Russia. )

I do not trust anyone fully. And I verify and reality check everyone. I don’t care which party or president. While largely a Democrat Party tool, appeasement and cajoling of threatening dictators has not been the sole exclusive 200% territory of the Donks. Just wait and see. Will soon see if it’s tighter strangling sanctions, boarding of illicit Mirth Korean smuggling craft on the high seas, or more “love letters.”

Convenient revisionism and spin, after the fact, after all the pie in the sky, naive bullcarp walk to walk on FR about Nobel Peace Prizes and a new era, and other misreading and premature triumphalism. Never ever observed this approach under Ronald Reagan. Shall we replay the tape? It’s for the record you know. Literally months, disgustingly, of it. It was only a matter of time, if you really knew these people, knew the Kim Dynasty. That’s just the plain reality of it.

Interestingly, it appears the text has now been modified a small bit, if I’ve got all the text right:

The original read, I believe:
-
This short-range missile would not violate that self-imposed moratorium. It may instead be a way to register his displeasure with Washington and the state of talks meant to provide sanctions relief for disarmament without having the diplomacy collapse.

Now it reads:
-
These short-range projectiles don’t appear to violate that self-imposed moratorium, and may instead be a way to register Kim’s displeasure with Washington and the state of talks meant to provide sanctions relief for disarmament without having the diplomacy collapse.

Why would NK give up weapons now? With John Bolton in there, and our doing the regime change thing in Venezuela, the US cannot be trusted to not do regime change if NK disarms.

Headline earlier in day on Friday:

North Korea cuts food rations to just 300g per person, per day

North Korea has cut official rations down to 300g per person, per day after the isolated state suffered its worst harvest in a decade.

The United Nations says 40% of the population - about 10.1 million people - are chronically short of food and do not have enough supplies to last until the next harvest...

You poor thing.

You are really eaten up inside, and it’s obvious.

Not one single president in the last 30 years has attempted to negotiate with North Korea to get it to stop it’s nuclear arms and long range missile programs.

Those negotiations were run by such stalwart negotiators as Jimmy Carter and Madeline Albright.

Trump has tried to put a positive face on it, and you jump up and down like a three year old who has just been told they can’t have candy until after dinner.

So what if Trump and others talked of a Nobel? I don’t think they expected to get it until something tangible happened. I’m sure you would like to think so.

This is all still fluid, and every ripple that comes along, you post nonsense and insults to the Trump team as if they should have completed in a year what nobody has been able to fix in thirty.

Please remind us what and how Obama did on this issue.

Please remind us what and how Bush did on this issue.

Please remind us what and how Clinton did on this issue.

Trump has met with the man face to face. He has tried to put the carrot out front and get Kim to bite.

To this tactic, you whine and insult him.

Do I need to remind you of this every couple of weeks?

The Dems are 100% corrupt. I absolutely agree they are the deep state.

The coup is the Dems stealing our nation with all of their corruption, so even elections can’t save us.

California Oregon Washington Colorado New Mexico...all totally gone...

I referenced it this way, because neither Jimmy Carter or Albright gave NK an ultimatum. They both let it continue it’s programs. There were negotiations, but not the type that are taking place right now. There was no goal to get North Korea to stop what it was doing.
