He's back! Roy Moore prepares for Alabama Senate rematch after Republican lost [tr]

Roy Moore, who lost a 2017 Senate race after a string of claims of sexual misconduct with teenage girls, is running for the seat again in 2020 in what could become a rematch against the Democrat who beat him.

Moore, 72, told a gathering of grassroots Republicans in Alabama this weekend that he will announce his candidacy in a matter of weeks, the Washington Examiner reported.

If he wins the GOP nomination, he would face Democratic Sen. Doug Jones, who is considered one of the most endangered Democrats in the Senate.

“Moore couldn’t motivate people to come out and vote for him over a screaming moon-bat liberal like Jones!”

The Alabama election became a federal anti-Trump news item. And the homosexual mafia called in all their markers on the GOPe traitors to attack Moore.

Then there was fraud, with outside voters being bused in, and other illegal and dirty techniques that were never investigated because of the GOPe traitors.

“Surely Alabama has someone just as conservative that isn’t as politically unskilled as Moore.”

I have no problem with criticisms for things of this nature, as long as it is coming from those who would at least say they PREFER some candidate who they think is better, but that they will support Moore if he is the winner in the primary. That was Trump’s approach.

If there was not fraud in the previous election, Moore would have won. If the GOP had given him the slightest support, he would have won. If the GOPe had just not piled, on joining the Satanic left to destroy him, he would have won.

I think Moore should run, and conservatives should make sure he gets elected as a smackdown to the liberals and GOPe traitors, even if that is the main reason.

The people of Alabama are perfectly capable of deciding who their senator is. His name is Doug Jones and not Roy Moore — right?

Name one GOP candidate not name Donald J. Trump who successfully ran for office while being undermined and campaigned against by the elected leaders his own party. You can’t.

Doug Jones is only a senator because the beltway GOP prefers progressive Democrats to their own base voters. It’s that simple.

If we allow fake smear campaigns to work, then all that’s required for every election hereafter is to churn out a fake smear campaign.

We train our enemy on how to most easily defeat us.

Exactly. They came for Roy Moore and I didn’t say anything becasue I wasn’t a Roy Moore supporter.

We can’t allow the progressive dominated GOP a veto over GOP base primary votes.

The idea that a Vietnam vet like Roy Moore is not acceptable and Mad Maxine Waters and Guam is going to tip over Hank Johnson are is ludicrous. The fact is if Roy Moore supported K Street Mitch McConnell would have dragged him over the line like he did that lightweight woman with a Klan “problem” in Mississippi. But Moore doesn’t support the globalist agenda so he is a target.

For anyone paying attention, a man is better measured by his enemy than his friends.

Roy Moore has all the correct enemy to spark my own interest. Unfortunately, I’m both too poor to have my own pot to piss in, and not a resident of the state he’s running for.

I also voted for Moore against Doug Jones, but I think he’s just too damaged in the eyes of many Republican voters and would likely lose again in a general election. I don’t want him in the US Senate. Mo Brooks looks like the best one announced.

Mo needs to do some things to become better known around the state. Moore’s 27% in that poll is not really a strong showing. It’s just that the next three best known candidates are US Reps, none of whom are well known statewide.

Actually, I wonder if all three will stick around and risk their house seat in a run for the senate.

As my late mother & father would say “Enough with the excuses! Take the blame! Learn from it! Do better next time!

He lost!

He didn’t have the skill to win that time.
I doubt if he does this time either.

If somehow he gets the nomination & stumbles across the finish line to win in spite of himself. I say great!
However I see no reason to take a sure thing and put it at risk. You obviously do!

After Covington and Kavanugh ....

And the passes Northam got and now Biden is getting ...

All Roy Moore needs to do is run commercial after commercial of these events, tie them all to Jones and the Democrats, keep silent....

.. then I think he could win.

Up to Alabamans if they think the gamble is worth it.
I wanted him to win but was appalled at his lack of campaign skill & sense. I still thought he would win. I thought somehow he’d stumble across the line and win. He didn’t!

But its up to them! I don’t live there. I’ve said my piece on it.

And the liberals and GOPe were not going to allow him in their club, just like they were not going to allow President Trump in their club.

But Trump didn't lose. You still can't seem to get over the fact that it does not matter if what happened to Moore was fair. Fact is, it happened and it worked. Just like when Dan Quayle was ridiculed for not knowing how to spell "potato". He knew how to spell it. It was mis-spelled on the flash card, and the teachers in the classroom nodded to him that "potatoe" was correct! Then the boy from the class goes on Letterman and everybody has a good laugh about Quayle not knowing how to spell potato and being dumber than a first grader. He was set up. It was not fair, but it happened.

You need to move past how unfair you think Moore was treated. He was not able to overcome the accusations, no matter how bogus. And once he admitted to dating high-schoolers when he was in his 30's he probably creeped out some voters. It was not a crime to date them if they were of legal age, but that kind of thing comes back to haunt you when you run for the Senate as a Republican.

When you run for a publicly elected office you can let us know how it’s done by a winner like you.

I never said I was a winner. I would not run. I am not so filled with hubris that I would feel it necessary to run for an office that I would lose. The Alabama senate seat is more important than Roy Moore.

Would you like to add Trump to the list?

They didn’t want him either.

No, I merely called them on their treachery. Moore is a good man.

They shot their worst against him last time and he nearly won anyway.

We need him. He’ll vote with us 99% of the time.

Nobody they approve of will.

They have no problem with Snow, Collins... didn’t have any problem with McCain.

Screw’em!

So the Democrats and the Republicans teamed up against Moore with the big guns meda, and you call Moore a looser?

No, the party leadership are the real losers.

He almost won against all of them.

He’s no loser, and he will vote with us 99% of the time.

More has done absolutely wrong we should abandon him over.

Remember, Snow, Collins, and McCain are in the good graces of the people you think we should listen to.

Ah... NO!

I supported Judge Roy Moore...but I was badly fooled and mistaken. Forget the women tales & goodies. They meant nothing to me. But....when I saw Roy Moore prancing around on his horse like a circus crown as he came up to election day...I said, enough is enough. This guy is not wrapped too tight and the Alabama GOP better dump him like they would dump a bad habit. The judge is an empty suit...flawed to eternity. He no more belongs in the Senate then I do!!! What a dud!!! Alabama voters...wise up and dump this dude!!!

“However I see no reason to take a sure thing and put it at risk. You obviously do!”

That’s the kind of thinking that gave us the GOPe.

We “won” with Bush Jr. and Bush Sr. right?

I don’t care if Alabama is a “sure thing” if the outcome is a milquetoast Republican who is soft on abortion or the homosexual agenda. That’s why Moore was targeted. Putting a RINO in office is no better than putting a liberal there. In some ways it’s worse.

Some things are worth fighting for. Right now Moore is the frontrunner in Alabama. But we have some whiny people on this forum who rush to attack him faster than Planned Parenthood attacks a baby.

All the people on this forum attacking Moore at this stage are Quislings.

“But Trump didn’t lose.”

But he has not been able to build the border wall or implement a lot of his promised agenda. Does that mean we should abandon him? Or do we cut him slack for the relentless attack of the cabal?

Same applies to Moore. He has had a lot of successes in his career, just as much as failures. And he gets up and fights back.

That’s what we need. A lot of people around here complain that Republicans have no spine. Well, here’s one who will not back down and we have a bunch of whiners rushing as fast as their weak-kneed little legs will carry them to throw themselves on the pyre of defeat. Can’t wait to be the first to wave a white flag and side up with the homosexual and abortion lobbies.

“You need to move past how unfair you think Moore was treated.”

People who think that these races are won by waving white flags should “move on” and find something else in life they know at least a tiny bit about rather than conservatism and patriotism. If a person does not care when good men are slandered and cheated through criminal and fraudulent voting schemes, then they are not on the same team as real conservatives and patriots. And they should move their families to Venezuela to get them acclimated and give them a preview of the future of the posterity of Quisling, spineless, surrender-monkeys.

“The Alabama senate seat is more important than Roy Moore.”

Sounds like something Neville Chamberlain would say.
