It takes an awfully dubious nomination to rile up a bunch as obedient as the Senate GOP to the point where they’re not only willing to bork a Trump pick but to bork him before he’s even been formally nominated.
I did not think they had it in ’em.
Cain’s loss is *probably* Stephen Moore’s gain, though. It’s almost unimaginable that Republicans would embarrass Trump twice by rejecting both of his Fed nominees.
North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer said he wouldnt back Cain if President Donald Trump nominates him to the Fed and hopes the president will make another choice.
If I had to vote today, I couldnt vote for Herman Cain, said Cramer, a Trump ally. The allegations that drove him from the presidential race are just so obviously serious. Im not talking about his position on interest rates or anything like that, but the sexual harassment stuff. Until its better explained I couldnt vote for him.…
Cramer joins GOP senators Mitt Romney of Utah, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Cory Gardner of Colorado in expressing opposition to a Cain nomination, which would leave him with just 49 potential Republican votes. Senate GOP leaders, including Republican Whip John Thune, have already said they dont anticipate Cain could get a single Democratic to support his confirmation.

Cain is qualified. He was the chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Omaha branch from 1989 to 1991, and the chairman of the entire Kansas City Fed in 1995 and 1996.
And personally, I’m fed up with these evil lifelong promiscuous Democrat women accusing Republicans of misconduct years and years after it supposedly happened. It needs to be ignored from now on.
By the way, Romney owns the company that owns the voting machines used in the Utah election. I seriously question his legitimacy.
Romney is probably the one organizing this.
Herman Cain HAS EXPERIENCE with Federal Reserve.
He was chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Omaha Branch from 1989 to 1991. He was deputy chairman, from 1992 to 1994, and then chairman until 1996, of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
He is MORE THAN QUALIFIED. The opposition to his nomination is POLITICAL and has nothing to do with qualification or competence.

The usual weak-kneed bitch-ass suspects working on behalf of the traitorous dems yet again. Disgusting!
Trump scared the Republicans for a time and they cooperated. They now realize he isn[’t going to have them poisoned so they are reverting following their natural leaders, the Social Democrats.
Good Lord. What a bunch of gutless, craven suckbags.
SOB’s. Turdkowski strikes again.
This is why I'm not a Steve Moore fan, either. He's a smart guy, but he's spent the last few years as a political advocate and media pundit. A number of his written articles and interviews in that time contain statements that would never stand up to close economic/financial scrutiny.
See post 19. Better yet look him up on Wikipedia and see how wrong you are.
more republicans being democrats
RE: A number of his written articles and interviews in that time contain statements that would never stand up to close economic/financial scrutiny.
Can you cite a few example?
Three of them are Murkowski, Collins, and Romney. No surprise in any of them.
Forcing a vote will make even more Republicans come out and go on record by voting against Cain. It would make Trump look weak. Just find someone else.
It is amazing what Trump has accomplished DESPITE these morons!
“Im not talking about his position on interest rates or anything like that, but the sexual harassment stuff.”
Ah yes, you mean one of the first trial runs of “Kavanaughing” conservative candidates.
I’m surprised that Cramer is against Cain, the others I’m not...
“And personally, Im fed up with these evil lifelong promiscuous Democrat women accusing Republicans of misconduct years and years after it supposedly happened.”
Yep. I would ask any of these Republicans who object this question:
“Would you still think the same of Herman Cain if these accusations had been made against him AFTER the Brett Kavanaugh hearing?”
eeek!
