We and the Left are now two nations within one country. This is undeniable. We are now so different that we cannot even agree on what a country is, or on the merits of a country having a border. The number of people who still say, "I just don't care about politics" dwindles. It is still possible to hate both sides but it is getting hard to be indifferent and still be breathing. How many people can just take or leave infanticide? How many people are entirely flexible about the idea of the government having authority over anything and everything, to experimenting with our fundamental demographics, or to giving up fossil fuels cold turkey? The abyss looms large beneath us.
We conservatives have let this ideological cancer metastasize for far too long for its excision to be simple or painless. For too long, we have been patient with outrages we should have fought to reverse. We have let our opponents secede incrementally from us for decades. We have been tolerant and patient...we have given up our civil society, our political representation, and our freedoms one by one. Our maladies won't be fixed by delicate adjustments now...Either the cancer wins, and kills us all, or we defeat it and we accept the scars. Let us not pretend they would not be hideous scars. And let us not pretend it would not be a deeply barbarous and bitter surgery.
The titanic nations of the Left and right are rising en masse flexing their muscles and snorting menacingly at one another. We cannot get out of their way. There is no safe part of the country, nor any genuinely safe haven left in any other country. This is a global conflict. We have run out of frontiers.

War is politics by other means.
Two sides of same coin
When one no longer works, the other is soon to follow.
If not ready, for either one, the outmaneuvered loses.
Leftist organizations are highly decentralized with almost no command structure. Look at “Discover the Networks.” Their tentacles are everywhere; they are all loosely intertwined. There is no top-down leadership. They have many goals, but are united in their effort to destroy Western Civilization and Capitalism and create a Marxist utopia.
Just how would you take out their leaders?
It does seem to take about three human generations to completely forget the lessons of not-far-distant history, doesn’t it?
Not only can they not define it, a good fraction of them, maybe a majority, hate what we are.
Charlotte and Atlanta have both changed my friend...they and the the counties have gone left
Lived in Atlanta twice. Live in Charlotte now. For the City centers that is true. For places like Marietta and Alpharetta and Stone Mountain for Altanta no. Once you get outside the perimeter, its the South again. For Charlotte it is true that a lot of Leftist Yankees have moved here, but again the suburbs aren't nearly as leftwing as "Uptown" ie the city center and the surrounding area is the South again. Neither Atlanta nor Charlotte is so far gone or big enough to be carved out - like say Chicago from Illinois or Miami from Florida. Besides, if the flow of Leftist Yankees were cut off, their Leftward drift would immediately halt.
Perhaps, but there are still sufficient numbers of true men of courage to win the war.
Remember, that in the Revolutionary War, no more than a third of the colonists fully supported independence, and only three percent of them actually shouldered a rifle.
Still, we managed to win our freedom from the most powerful empire of the day.
We still have the right stuff.
Well said.
Actually, I believe the Turks besieged Vienna in both years, and were defeated.
I think all of North America will burn before we ever see that. Then again, I see the glass as half full, as you've astutely pointed out.
Let's stay on track here.
It was said that liberals could hijack the convention and push through horrible changes to the Constitution.
That can't happen unless 38 state legislatures ratify those amendments.
There aren't 38 left-liberal state legislatures, so it's not going to happen.
I doubt that many among us are counting on a CoS to save us. The proponents insist (and I agree) that a CoS is a prefferable last ditch effort to right our ship of state before all civil mechanisms break, and civil war erupts.
I don’t know whether a CoS would result in any beneficial changes to how business is done in DC, but it’s worth a try. After all, it is what the Framers set in place for times such as this.
Perhaps no amendments from either side would garner enough votes to pass. We’d at least know that we gave it our absolute best before we broke out the rifles.
They’ve been brainwashed for so long they go with whatever is trending at the moment. Anything goes too! Almost all they ‘believe’ in is superficial at best. Their little minds are soooo OPEN they let everything in regardless of the danger.
"...CWII..."
It appears America is in desperate need of a group civics lesson, played out in real time, and in three dimensions.
Unfortunately, liberals entirely miss the fundamental reasons America was founded in the first place, nor do they grasp or appreciate the principles underlying the words in the Declaration and the Constitution.
Those words were born out of real human suffering and experience. They enumerate the many egregious acts committed against the people by their government, they also propose a new system of government that provides for maximum freedoms and protections for the citizens.
This is all lost on liberals, and because it is, they are driving us to repeat a lesson of history our people learned long ago.
Read Unintended Consequences (available as a free download). It just might come to that.
Per the National Community Pharmacist Assoc., the average pharmacy inventory turnover is a little under once a month, so seizing control of the pharmacies won't be of much help without also gaining control of the supply chain and in fact keeping the supply chain operating.
If the supply of legal opiates is cut off in the U.S., one can only imagine the pandemonium. Illegal drug sales will skyrocket.
Our economy is so incredibly complicated that it could easily breakdown for brief periods. A breakdown in the supply of opiates alone might ignite that burning and thereby create problems for the supply of all other goods and services.
That would result in martial law to fill the void and to keep the trains and trucks and planes running.
I don't think any foreign enemy would even think of getting involved until the dust settles.
Exactly.
The sunshine patriot Article Opponents at FR are so dense they prefer millions of dead and a new Constitution in the aftermath, rather than a peaceful COS to amend the one we still have.
Absolutely. Political or legal solutions are out the window. And that basically means that there are no culturally acceptable solutions.
Luckily for us, our enemy has also been brainwashed to hunger for safe spaces and to hate guns. A breakdown in society will remove all safe spaces, real and imaginary, and provide our "delicate" enemies with their first, REAL dose of reality.
That alone will unwind some of the brainwashing related to the postmodern concepts that "reality" is what you think it is and/or want it to be.
The enemies concepts of gender fluidity and "don't trigger me" safety will be out the window so fast they will melt in a puddle of tears. Gays and trannies will be fighting to get back in the closet.
