Barbara Bush says 'angst' over Trump caused heart problems, new book says.
NBC News ^ | 3/27/19 | Allan Smith

Barbara Bush so fiercely disliked President Donald Trump that she blamed him for what she called a heart attack and, by the end of her life, she no longer considered herself a Republican.

"I'd probably say no today," she told Page in an October 2017 interview on whether she was still a Republican.

Those were excerpts, released Wednesday, of an upcoming biography of Bush by USA Today's Susan Page, who spoke with the former first lady extensively in the final months of her life. Bush died last April and her husband, 41st President George H.W. Bush, died in November.

Thanks. I recall reading somewhere that among White House employees (cooks and other staff who were interviewed and surveyed) that Pat Nixon was their favourite First Lady to work for and those who had that privilege to be at the White House when the Nixons were there were greatly saddened when she had to leave with her husband upon his 1974 resignation.

She should have blamed her “Low Energy” son Jeb for hastening her demise!!!

It was outrageous when he hauled her out on the primary campaign trail on his behalf. The images of her struggling behind one of those “old peoples’” walkers was just plain cruel!!!

Moreover, her outspoken stance on being pro choice dispelled the notion that she actually even had a heart!!!

What an obsessed old biddy. Another excerpt about this book claims she clipped newspaper stories back when Trump and Ivana got divorced - who the heck does stuff like that unless you’re totally jealous and gloating over other people’s struggles?

I wonder if she got warped by looking so much older than her husband. They say she turned prematurely gray after the loss of their child and that’s why she vowed to never color her hair, but her face also was very wrinkled for decades. Perhaps she was just very shallow and always jealous of what the Trumps had and she didn’t.

She did seem pretty comfortable with the Clinton family. I think it was a Texas thing. She couldn’t be a true Democrat in Texas. That explains some of the Bush confusion. Now the whole compassionate conservative makes sense also. The Bush Family doesn’t age well. The next generations will pay for this obsession for attention.

The Russian hoax put the damper on Trump fully accomplishing what he wanted to do. It resulted in several Swamp Rooted GOPers from supporting him early on, therefore he was stuck with weak kneed Sesssions.

It affected his foreign policy.

It affected the people loyal to him.

McConnell never went nuclear, ridding us from the filibuster, where he could have passed legislation with a simple majority there by cutting out Pelosi and Schumer etc etc.

Ryan and company undercuts him with the Omnibus bill.

In the end, no further tax cuts, no major legislation over haul etc etc.

That’s not a physiological problem. That’s a mental issue.

****************

Correct. She is essentially saying that anything she didn’t like in life upset her physically. That is indeed a mental problem. That’s the kind of thing that goes on inside very opinionated people. The mere thought of someone else having different views deeply troubles them because it challenges their own sense of superiority.

I used to like her

Even through George 1 presidency, the "aw-shucks, we're ordinary folks" had most of us fooled. The Bush Dynasty are disgusting elitist globalists who are okay with the Illuminati Agenda. Been that way at least since Prescott was Treasurer of Planned Parenthood back in 1947 and had strong Nazi sympathies.

Barbara blames President Trump? How about some accountability on her part? With a father in law who was a baby killer and Nazi sympathizer, she should've been more retrospective.

Agree— Laura bush was the same- prochoice- pro homosexual
marriage— they changed their husbands minds on a lot
of things—and encouraged the dark forces to take over

It was all about jealousy about Jeb losing and the next dynasty. The Bushes literally think they are America’s royal family.

Were/are any of the Bushes really anything other than democrats wearing an “R” Jersey?

They come from an old country club wing of the party that fundamentally believes in the same statism as the democrats. But the country-club elitist Bushes believe that the lowly democrat politicians are not worthy of enacting it. They don’t want to associate with “those people” and can’t see why they are allowed to run. In other words, the help should stay in the kitchen. Nonetheless, the help has some great ideas but they should leave it to people in the elite, like the Bushes, to enact it.

When “Camelot” came to an end, the Bushes did assume that “political mantle”, didn’t they?

That truly stunned me, as I am rabidly ProLife, too.
