Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez grilled Wells Fargo CEO Tim Sloan during a House Financial Services Committee hearing about the bank's practices on Tuesday
She asked the executive why the bank invested in private prisons linked to immigration detention on the border
Sloan replied that Wells Fargo was severing ties with two private prison firms
Ocasio-Cortez then addressed the bank's financing of the Dakota Access Pipeline, asking if it should pay for environmental clean-up if anything went awry
Sloan responded by explaining that the pipeline is not operated by the bank and noting that Wells Fargo was one of more than a dozen banks that financed it
Throughout the hearing Sloan fought to convince the committee that Wells Fargo has cleaned up its act after a series of scandals affecting millions

Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez grilled Wells Fargo CEO Tim Sloan about the bank's involvement in the caging of children at the US Mexico border and the Dakota Access Pipeline during a House hearing regarding the bank's practices.
As Sloan sat before the House Financial Services Committee on Tuesday, Ocasio-Cortez told him: 'I am interested in the human rights abuses and environmental disasters that some say are financed by your bank, Wells Fargo.'

I pulled my money out of Wells Fargo almost 20 years ago because they bought out the local bank and instituted a bunch of liberal policies. I can't imagine them doing anything that AOC would find offensive. Their headquartered in San Fransicko.
