Full title: Newt Gingrich: Pelosi’s grip slips as Ocasio-Cortez and friends throw a party, leave the grandparents at home
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi – and the old guard Democrats at large – are in a very difficult position.
The radical young voters that Democrats have been courting for years have finally elected like-minded radical young representatives – and Pelosi, D-Calif., and her leadership team have no control over them.
A big reason why, as I mentioned on “Hannity” this week, is that there is a wide generation gap between Democratic House leaders and freshmen Democrats such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and others.
The median year of birth for the 59 Democrats who assumed office this year is 1973. Sixteen of these members were born on or after 1980.
Nancy Pelosi was born in 1940. The average age of Democratic leaders is 71.
To the new Democrats, the leaders are like the grandparents. And I don’t mean this in a positive way that could foster an opportunity for maternal or paternal mentorships.
The new Democrats believe the Pelosi’s team represents an outdated, backward way of thinking about government. This is understandable. How many 30-somethings do you know who share the same point of view as their 80-year-old grandparents?
The result is that these new Democrats are throwing a party – and the grandparents aren’t invited.
Pelosi and members of Democratic leadership are simply trapped in a cycle of responding to headlines. This is how you end up with the so-called Green New Deal, which is a work of complete legislative fantasy that would utterly bankrupt the country.

If “the average age of Democratic leaders is 71” as Newt stated, it makes my point even more.

Oh yeah, it does. I’ve said here before this is the New Red Guard meets The Old Guard. And nothing is more glaring then the age difference, literally. Pelosi is exactly the age of being AOC’s grandmother and Pelosi is a grandmother herself. As I’ve said also, the Old Witch has got some medical issues going on. I really wonder if at this time next year she’s still on two feet and breathing.
For the last 50 years, the attitude of the Democrat party has been to completely Focus on the Youth of America. To brainwash them, to wait for older more socially conservative people to die off. To tell them “you are the future”.
The flaw of this strategy is that at a certain point, the younger people will say, okay we’re in charge now. This is what you’ve been grooming us for. Don’t tell us to wait another 10 years, we’ve waited long enough.
It’s like training a dog to be an attack dog. The dog can always turn on you.
There’s no room for a radical Muslims in our government! ..This is what happens when radical Muslims and feminists are put in positions of power...even worse when they unit with another....
If you can’t pledge allegiance to this country (which they cannot) as a politician, the you must automatically be removed from office.

Nancy deserves everything coming her way she has never done one positive thing to help our country

I said when AOC arrived on the DC scene she would replace Pelosi. AOC is far more dangerous to America than anyone is willing to give heed too.

I imagine you’re correct on that, not owning guns I mean. But one should never underestimate the Left.
