Sen. Elizabeth Warren unveils a plan to break up big technology companies like Amazon, Facebook and Google.

Her proposal is the most specific one put forth in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary to limit Silicon Valley.

Other candidates such as Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Bernie Sanders have been skeptical of large technology companies.

ATT was not committing crimes against the First Amendment, and attempting to muzzle all non-leftist free speech. OTOH, these Nazi-clones need to be totally destroyed.

don’t breakup regulate them to allow free political speech since they are trusts or monopolies.

A year ago google employees petition management to stop working with the US military. They agreed. Then they entered into an AIO development agreement with a Chinese University which does research for the Chinese military.

google needs to be accused of treason and kicked off shore.

God Help me too. I read the headline and thought, “She’s actually making sense.”

I detest Amazon. Was one of their first customers when they were only selling books, but now I look at devastation of bookstores and mourn.

I am with you though most Freepers will shame us. Economic arguments aside, the danger I see is that the United States has become a representative republic of corporate oligarchs rather than of the constitute people.

Well, first of all, it was illegal for AT&T to discriminate or cut off phone service to anyone for political reasons. Facebook and social media does so with impunity while using government infrastructure and subsidies to violate people’s rights.

Free markets doesn’t mean supporting plutocracy.

Not only have the states never expressly constitutionally given the corrupt feds the specific power to break up monopolies, the Founding States making the 10th Amendment in part to indicate that such power is reserved uniquely to the states, but consider what follows below.

In fact, in stark contrast to demonizing of monopolies by misguided, post-17th Amendment ratification Sen. Warren, consider that she is blissfully overlooking that Founding States made the Constitution’s Article I, Section 8, Clause 8 to reward inventors by giving them temporary, nationwide monopoly power over their inventions.

Article I, Section 8, Clause 8: "To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries;"

You could say the same thing 100+ years ago something like I detest Ford, I bought one, but I look at the devastation of horse breeders and harness makers and mourn. Times change, occasionally for the better.

This is the same Devil that hoisted upon America the Consumers Financial Protection Agency that was then used to Shakedown Companies to finance Leftist Organizations and movements.

Ditto for me.

Standard Oil was broken up for controlling roughly 60% of the oil market, because that was deemed to be anti-competitive. Google controls over 90% of the web-search market, AND HAS BEEN CAUGHT SCREWING WITH ITS ALGORITHMS FOR POLITICAL PURPOSES. This is a public utility, and should NOT be biased in any way. Ditto for Fakebook and Twatter - they are manipulating and censoring FOR POLITICAL PURPOSES, and that simply cannot be allowed to continue.
