Surprised she isn’t targeting Chick-fil-A with a breakup of their chicken sandwich monopoly.

These companies do need to be broken up. Frankly, multi-national corporations are problematic in general. But why make it a campaign platform? Do it now.

Not such a bad idea considering their hatred of conservatives. Go for it.

“They don’t have a chicken sandwich monopoly.”

Don’t be ridiculous. Next you will be claiming Chick-fil-A is not a white nationalist organization seeking to turn America into a theocracy. You must be one of those right-wingers.

I predict many Freepers will now come to the aid and support of these companies.

Because of who would break them up.

And because they have no consistent philosophy beyond opposition to their enemies.

I hope I’m wrong.

“Because breaking up AT&T worked so well?”

It was the best antitrust action the government ever took.

It’s why we have the internet and get to philosophize on this site.

Dumb idea no matter who comes up with it. Conglomeration happens. Then they screw up. Then the competition beats them. The corporate graveyard is filled with companies that were “too big” and “controlled the market”.

I’m not opposed to this. Make it a level playing field or get busted up.

something needs to be done. more ideas are needed yesterday. part of the reason these cos are giants are because they aggregate information about individuals and use it however they see fit. deep at core it’s a privacy issue i think.

Did she say anything about breaking up the huge government monopoly of corrupt union schools and invite more competition?

Peaches come from Georgia. Georgia is in the South. The South is racist. Peach shakes are racist dog-whistles. Boycott Chick-fil-A.

Sorry. Just trying to understand liberal thinking. It hurts the brain. Makes me crave Chick-fil-A.

Quote: “Why? Because breaking up AT&T worked so well?”

ATT wasn’t deciding whether or not to provide full service dependent upon your political views. What AppleFacebookTwitterAmazon are doing is akin to if ATT had said “Joe is a conservative, so we’ll only allow a small portion (if any) of Joe’s calls to go through”

It’s very hard to think of something like Facebook as a monopoly. There is no general public need that they control to the exclusion of others. The only service they offer is access to Facebook. It’s like calling the NFL a monopoly.
