Economics 101: Anything that requires a government subsidy is not economically viable and will eventually collapse. Tesla is also a cult stock.

The stock price is back to where it was two weeks ago, mainly because it was announced that there will be no profit this quarter, but profits will resume after that.
January is their slowest month, but compared to last year sales are up significantly. These numbers are also only looking at the US. Tesla sent many more cars to China and Europe.
As a company they are doing better than ever.

Tesla has always been a NO WIN financially... other than perhaps those who got in cheap early...
If the Electric Car truly catches on, it will be mass produced cheaper by bigger players with more experience.
Tesla can only survive by being a niche player, or selling itself off to noe of those players moving into the space.
It he electric car doesn’t catch on, and with recharge times in the hours, thats the most likely scenario, that it remains a niche player... then it will die trying to be a mainstream product rather than a high margin niche product.
Electric vehicles are fine for nice situations, commuter vehicles, etc... but, until you can drive 300-400 miles, and recharge in 10 minutes or less, and have abundant infrastructure to support that recharging, its a non starter.
If the technology cannot survive on its own without government, read taxpayer, subsidies, them it is not a viable technology.................

Tesla accomplished the stated goal of the government to create a “Green” vehicle.
But the real goal of the government was control over you, not empowering you. So ...FAIL
I laugh whenever I see articles of a Tesla BK. Lots of shorts putting out lies. Tesla has many institutions ASKING to loan them money or to buy stock. No risk of BK at all. ZERO! They are working to make a profit... but so did Amazon. Big deal.

Saw one of the newly designed Tesla’s on the road over the weekend. Fugly! That’s what it was! Fugly! No wonder they’re losing sales. And, OUR money to boot!

Reading the FR comments here takes me back some 20 years ago to the comments on Priii and other hybrid cars.
