A Tennessee school district apologized Thursday after a homework assignment asked students to pretend their “family owns slaves.”
Actually, it was a pretty good assignment. I don’t think Dr. Mike Looney, director of Williamson County schools, should have apologized. It was a thoughtful assignment and would likely have benefited the students, their families and even critics. The students were eighth-graders, and were asked, “Imagine that their family owns slaves and then ‘create a list of expectations’ for those slaves.”
Besides, which slaves in that school district were offended?
Dr. Looney’s real problem wasn’t that he touched the slavery-rail of “I’m offended politics”; it was that he asked students in his district to think. You see, thinking about things means you might arrive at the wrong conclusion.
Yes, it’s a harsh and brutal world outside the protected halls of the academy. Almost everything has been “thought through” by someone, who has arrived at the conclusion that benefits him or her most. To protect yourself, you must set up an advocacy group to yell and scream the loudest for your position – because your friends and neighbors need to be protected from thinking and coming to a wrong conclusion. Wrong conclusions are ones the advocacy group founder disagrees with.

The only thing the democrats are concerned about is retaining their lock on the Black Vote. If Trump were able to siphon off 15-20% of the Black vote the Democrats are dead.

Wonder how the Dems com to terms with the American Indians owning slaves, from black slaves of the Southern,later Oklahoma tribes, to the High Plains tribes in which, into the 1880s, the US army were attacking to free Hispanic and other tribal slaves still in bondage, in enforcing the 13th Amendment.
Because they can use the word to instill fear and trembling in Whites who feel guilty over something that they didn’t do.
Guilt is not passed down through the genes. Guilt doesn’t jump from a one person to another based on similar skin shade.
Dems will use slavery as long as they can to absolve current day Blacks from responsibility for their failures.

Washington states Dem controlled legislature is seriously contemplating a bill requiring companies to document how many slaves they have.

Exactly! Another factor, though, it the problem of pitching a scam to the blacks that they will understand. The average American today has a limited attention span and merely shouting ‘Racism’ doesn’t do the trick anymore. As Blacks become more educated, they realize that, economically, their fortunes lies in leaving the democrat ‘plantation’ and embracing the free market. The concept of slave reparations is an effort to hang on to the welfare blacks and maybe pull back in some of those that have ‘weaned’ themselves from the government teat.

660,000 Americans died in the civil war. The only “guilt” I feel is that all of those men who died didn’t get to live out their lives in happiness, peace, and prosperity, raise 10 children each and watch them grow, sit on the porch in their elder years with the wife and have a long, loving life to reflect back on while the grandkids played in the yard.
That’s the ONLY “guilt” I feel...
