Michael Cohen may have just helped Donald Trump (Russian collusion - NOT GUILTY! Now what?)
NY Post ^ | 2/27/19 | John Podhoretz

**SNIP**

The weird thing: Since what Republicans were trying to do was save the president’s hide, they should actually have hoisted Cohen on their shoulders, sung “Hava Nagila” and done a nine-hour hora. His testimony and answers actually helped the president when it came to the matter of Trump’s possible impeachment.

It turns out his lawyer-fixer doesn’t have the goods.

Early reports on what Cohen might say suggested he was going to tell the committee that Trump told him to lie to Congress about his alleged porn-star payoffs. That would have meant the president had suborned perjury - a serious crime. Such testimony would indeed have amounted to a smoking cruise missile aimed directly at the White House.

But that is not what Cohen said.

Continue the search for more “evidence” and ruin the lives of those who evenly remotely have been associated with Trump, including the lives of family and friends of these associates.

They’re never gonna get Trump.

But people’s lives are getting ruined and the constitution getting trampled.

Enough!!

Between obama and hillary there were so many OUTRAGEOUS real crimes that this whole thing is absurd!!!

The good thing is he keeps motoring on, appointing judges and fighting the good fight.

But a REAL Attorney General would stop the assaults on his friends.

After only reading the title I was going to post that John Podhoretz in yesterday’s Commentary podcast was talking about all the sly ways that Cohen actually covered for President Trump during his congressional grilling and then I looked up and saw he wrote this NY Post piece.

Cohen’s testimony destroyed both the Russian collusion conspiracy and the allegations of campaign finance violations.

Exactly! Cohen let fly a bunch of crap and innuendo. That made commie news network happy. But he destroyed the Russia and financing allegations, cold.

Cohen’s testimony was pathetic - he was willing to say/lie about anything, to save his own butt and please those currently in charge of the fate of said ‘butt’.

He alleged nothing illegal or actionable, just spouted negative words to try and sway public opinion - and I suspect, again, that he did so according to the wishes of his ‘Masters’.

He deserves to go to prison if only for being such a damn coward.

Trump won’t be touched by any of this.

The main point is that there is NO EVIDENCE that Trump did anything illegal, or anything that, the suspicion of which, initially formed the basis of this nutty ‘investigation’.

Mueller has come up with absolutely nothing - so all he has now is the ability to squeeze weaklings and force them to spout propaganda.

The entire deep state genome needs to be removed from human DNA. Unless of course their tyrannical behavior is a learned trait.

Correct.

But what fell into play was a accusation going against Cohen’s wife....having to deal with NY City taxi medallions and a loan via some major bank....where she (she was part-owner in this deal) made a false statement to the bank when applying for the loan. Mueller had her for a major crime...potentially locking her up for 30 years.

Once he’s entered jail, I think most of this will become more known, and a major amount of frustration will hit the public...that Cohen lied ten times over....to save the wife from jail.

Trump, as in every ‘fight’, emerges and continues on. All of this Russia-this-and-that, and the illegal stuff? Just fake accusations.

There’s no way a savvy business man
is going to be balled up in tax fraud
scenario. His accountants would/and
will make sure he doesn’t go down
for anything tax related. It’s under
their recommendation as to how to
proceed. If he goes down, they go down.
They’re not going to risk that. The IRS
also has kept an eye on his dealings and
if Trump had done anything wrong, we
would have heard about it long before now.
