Jussie Smollett is begging his "Empire" family to believe he's innocent and continue supporting him -- even as the drama of his arrest postponed a scene Thursday in Chicago. Sources on the "Empire" set tell us the cast and crew were waiting at least 30 minutes for Jussie to begin the scheduled scene. When he eventually showed his face he was very emotional, and surrounded by his family. We're told he addressed everyone on set, saying ..."I’m sorry I’ve put you all through this and not answered any calls. I wanted to say I’m sorry and, you know me, I would never do this to any of you, you are my family. I swear to God, I did not do this.” After that, he left the set. We're told it was obvious Jussie had been crying a lot, so producers said he would have to come back later. He did, and we're told he is currently shooting the scene.

I can't figure out why he's still denying. I wonder if he plans to call out a third party like a Kamala or something, some other party, that' he'll claim pressured him. More likely he collaborated and is upset that he's been abandoned.
The pieces STILL don't totally add up. I mean I'm sure he's super triple quadruple guilty ... but unless the only 'more to this' is that he's going full 'double down on your lie and hope your peeps are in the jury' like OJ did ... ... ... well even for a sociopath, pure denial at this point in the face of the evidence against him doesn't make much sense.

My guess is all that BS about him “leaving” the set because he had been crying too much is a media cover for him being asked to leave.
Jussi is a narcissistic sociopath. I think that will come out in his trial(s), it will be obvious.
However he could likely end up with a disgraceful racist jury (as with OJ), and they could let him walk. The jury just might want to “stick it to The Man” with a jury nullification verdict.

The difference is that a lot of people — both black and white — liked OJ, and kept their minds open throughout the trial. This two-bit “supporting actor” started things off with a COMPLETELY implausible story, and just kept piling on.
