President Trump has put his conservative base in a terrible situation by allowing openly homosexual U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell to lead a campaign to “decriminalize homosexuality” around the world. This gut-punch of a news story is being spun as a response to Iran’s recent execution of a homosexual man. While I believe I speak for most conservatives in saying I do not condone that execution, or capital punishment for any sexual crimes anywhere, I believe the Iran incident is simply a pretext for perpetuating the “All-In” Obama doctrine on LGBT issues by the U.S. State Department, and I think President Trump has been persuaded to cooperate on the false argument that doing so will mitigate leftist hatred of his administration here at home.
I have some bad news for President Trump: LGBTs and their surrogates in media, academia and government are IMPLACABLE. He will get no credit from the left, but will instead empower a small army of Trojan Horse “conservatives” among his base who are really progressive change-agents in disguise.

What a law does is establish a potential penalty to be applied to those who were caught and convicted of breaking it.
A law really doesn’t do much else, and a law certainly does not prevent whatever behavior it is untended to punish.
I have no STDs % nor do I need them. If you can show me reliable info on this I’ll look at it but families are broken up far, FAR more often by things other than STDs.

Comprehension is not your thing I guess. Those are both separate issues, however, primarily caused by consenting adults in the privacy of their bedrooms. Also your anecdotal response is not an argument.
Well then you should support Trump’s policy if for no better reason that it will ensure fewer gay people being forced to emigrate to the West.

You claim divorce, destruction of the family and all manner of horrors are caused by homosexual activity as if heterosexual extra curricular activities outside a marriage doesn’t cause the exact same thing and given the small % of gays in the population, in far greater numbers.

No you are mistaken. Countries can move people to other places within the country when bad things happen. Chernobyl is an example. The fact is that we take in refugees that are under threat of being executed for things that aren’t crimes here, like being gay.

If people are executed for being gay, or for engaging in a homosexual sex act, the result, either way, is that they have a clear legal basis to demand sanctuary in the West as a refugee.
Either they stay in their own country or they emigrate to yours.
They are multiple. Side effects from meds for Aids. Rectal prolapse, anal cancer etc. from sodomy. Horrible unusual viruses etc.from oral sex.
You assume that stds are benign. For heterosexuals they are not.

Trump promised over & over again during his campaign and on inauguration day that we would not invade other nations to change their rulers.
Now, we are threatening to do that in Venezuela & probably Iran, while our nation slides into a cesspool here at home.
I certainly did not vote to legalize homosexuality in nations that have passed laws against that.
We are getting way off track here.

It’s a jab, a feint, it gives the Iranians one more thing to have to respond to.
Maybe it causes them to lose a tiny bit of cred with some of the lefties; calling blatant attention to their attitude towards gays into fuller relief; and if it screws with the Saudis and any social influence they have here, so much the better; it costs nothing (except annoying a bit of his base who will see any alternative as far worse and/or will understand my speculated reasoning
The beauty of how Trump fights is that he’s like a boxer who throws an instant counterpunch (thereby screwing up your balance and follow-through with your punch) and also understands the benefit of lots of blows that are *probably* just designed to make you waste energy reacting but just might connect...
