President Trump has put his conservative base in a terrible situation by allowing openly homosexual U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell to lead a campaign to “decriminalize homosexuality” around the world. This gut-punch of a news story is being spun as a response to Iran’s recent execution of a homosexual man. While I believe I speak for most conservatives in saying I do not condone that execution, or capital punishment for any sexual crimes anywhere, I believe the Iran incident is simply a pretext for perpetuating the “All-In” Obama doctrine on LGBT issues by the U.S. State Department, and I think President Trump has been persuaded to cooperate on the false argument that doing so will mitigate leftist hatred of his administration here at home.
I have some bad news for President Trump: LGBTs and their surrogates in media, academia and government are IMPLACABLE. He will get no credit from the left, but will instead empower a small army of Trojan Horse “conservatives” among his base who are really progressive change-agents in disguise.

Law that got too interested in what happened by mutual consent in closets ended up sending the USSC in the opposite direction rather than what should have happened, i.e. readjusting a delicate balance. If we are unwise to ban it in a closet, then voila it’s now a public right everywhere — an absurd conclusion. Affirming respect for some private rights does not a public right make.
If we look at what the Old Testament actually did (the penalty was steep for going past a line, but that line definitely was at a closet door) we can start to see wisdom. If it’s completely either-or, as you have have formulated, then we open up to secular liberals getting their way.

What health burdens? STDs can and are transmitted by heterosexuals as well as homosexuals.

We have plenty of political capital abroad, and if some folks would put their thinking caps on, they’d realize Trump is trying to smash the political splinter groups that give the Democrats so much support. THINK!
This will look like Trump has done more for homosexual and LGBT folks than Obama and the Left ever did. And it isn’t doing anything.

He made a public statement that will carry no weight, will change nothing, and won’t bring the world crashing down.

BUT, his ass-umptions, predictions, and ascribed motives, not so much.
I couldn’t be any more anti-LGBTQXYZ, but violence against these people is WRONG! Persecution of these people is WRONG! Many of these people are misguided, ensnared by evil, dupes.
Their political agendas have to be opposed and defeated AT ALL COSTS! Their leaders discredited and deposed by all legal means.
In doing so, we can not condone violence and persecution.
So under that reasoning, everything horrible that happens in the world is our problem and we must address it. I see that a recipe for permanent war and empire, and I am against it.
