It’s another emergency for Donald Trump.
The President has once again called for the NBC sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live" to be investigated for making fun of him.
“Nothing funny about tired Saturday Night Live on Fake News NBC!” the President tweeted early Sunday morning. “Question is, how do the Networks get away with these total Republican hit jobs without retribution? Likewise for many other shows? Very unfair and should be looked into. This is the real Collusion!”
Fewer than nine hours prior to the President’s outburst, “SNL” opened their weekly show with actor Alec Baldwin mocking a rambling Friday press conference in which Trump declared, among other things, that the need for a wall on America’s southern border is an “emergency” despite statistics from his own administration that appear to contradict his claim.

Concerning himself with meaningless crap like SNL is wayyy beneath him. I do wish he’d not pay them the attention they crave.
Why does PDT kick own goals when his star is rising in the polls etc. After his great SOTU address. These kind of tweets make him look overly sensitive. He just gives his opponents ammo to say ‘see he really is touchy potential despot’. He should just make no comments at all or just give ‘water off a ducks back’ comments. This talk of looking into tv shows does him no good at all in the public mind. Just the opposite.
The President should say what he is saying, with comments like “and some of their sponsors are....”-— just naming them each week will destroy SNL, I believe.
Keep fighting fire with fire. The everybody hurts tweet was a good move. We win the internet and that’s much more powerful now...
Remember what Tina Fey did to Sarah Palin? Everyone thought Sarah said she could see Russia from her house. Sarah said no such thing. If they can hang a dumb line like that on Sarah, they can do it to President Trump. He has to fight back. The millennials believe this “comedy” BS.
Fake news headline alert!!! Trump did not call for SNL to be investigated. He simply questioned how ALL the networks can be lockstep.....(BTW which did show up here in FR.)

Now, maybe all FReepers know that the news coverage on President Trump is fake, and is unfairly slanted 92% negative against him, and that their network "comedy" shows (loosely defined, like diarrhea), such as SNL, are just as dishonest and are also unfairly slanted, anti-Trump propaganda adjuncts to their phony news, but the vast majority of Americans are NOT FReepers. Trump is just pointing these things out to many more people, beyond just the FReepers, in a facetious way, that still contains a major grain of truth for all Americans to just think about for a while. He is NOT calling for a serious investigation of anything, other than an honest assessment undertaken by people's individual minds about the bias claims he is asserting.
Trump's tweet there doesn't sound at all like whining, either. He is just simply stating facts, in a matter-of-fact manner. The only whining I observe here, is the whining being done in this thread about Trump. It sounds like a whole squadron of Ann Coulter clones!

Maybe thats exactly what he wants. We know Trump is a genius at marketing and I’m sure he knows the expected results from his drawing attention to the show.

The media is a monopoly controlled by only six major corporations and absolutely should be either broken up, or preferably regulations loosened to allow competition. They take advantage of strict FCC regulations that restrict channels and limit competitors from broadcasting.
