‘Architect of Genocide’ – Vandals Deface Karl Marx’s English Grave
Breitbart ^ | 16 Feb 2019 | Jack Montgomery

Karl Marx’s grave in Highgate Cemetery, London, has been defaced with anti-Communist graffiti, branding the dead thinker an “architect of genocide”.

Marx intellectual is memorialised with a huge stone plinth in the cemetery, crowned by a huge bust of his head.

An unidentified individual or individuals defaced the plinth with red spraypaint, reading “Memorial to Bolshevik Holocaust”, “66,000,000 DEAD”, “Architect of Genocide, terror + oppression, Mass Murder”, “Ideology of Starving”, and “Doctrine of HATE”.

The German Jewish intellectual played no direct role in the notoriously bloodstained communist revolutions and one-party regimes of the 20th century, dying in England in 1883 — but his writings are regarded by many as having given licence to the methods employed by his later acolytes.

For example, he wrote in 1849 that “there is only one way in which the murderous death agonies of the old society and the bloody birth throes of the new society can be shortened, simplified and concentrated, and that way is revolutionary terror”, warning his opponents: “We have no compassion and we ask no compassion from you. When our turn comes, we shall not make excuses for the terror.” These words were taken very much to heart by Soviet leaders Vladimir Ulyanov (Vladimir Lenin), Lev Bronstein (Leon Trotsky), and Joseph Jugashvili (Joseph Stalin) when they implemented Marx’s plan for a “dictatorship of the proletariat” under a Communist “vanguard” in the former Russian Empire. The defacing is the second act of vandalism against Marx’s gravesite in a month, with Friends of Highgate Cemetery Trust chief executive Ian Dungavell, having described the first attack on his monument, in which a plaque was damaged with a hammer, as “very upsetting”. Highgate Cemetery branded the latest incident “Senseless. Stupid. Ignorant.” on social media. “

“66,000,000 DEAD”. That is lowballing it. Communist china hit that number by itself.

Architect of Genocide, terror + oppression, Mass Murder. Marx was architect of none of these things. He was just a practitioner of these fine arts which go back to our origins - the architect of these things was Satan...

Yes Karl has given a role model to countless pseudo-intellectual loafers. He is the patron of ‘creative loafing’.

No statue should exist to glorify that SOB. I would gladly pound it to dust.

I’d take a leak on it, but I’m not flying to England just to do so...

Had I known where Karl was planted, I would've scheduled a "visit" (complete with preparatory stop at a nearby pub, of course) two years ago when I was in London.

In an earlier thread on this subject, someone posted that in order to see Marx's grave, you have to pay a small amount to access that part of the cemetery. What an amazing bit of irony.

“...What an amazing bit of irony....”

Yeah, I’d pay it. It’s worth it to “give something back” to that worthless loser for all the misery his psychosis caused humanity.

Hell, I pay for a BUSLOAD of tourists to stop and relieve themselves on his grave.

Frankly, I'm offended but not surprised that anyone built a massive memorial, a plinth with a bust of ol’ Marx hisself on top, to the man. Tear it down, and mark his grave with a more modest stone, and a plaque detailing the horrors his false doctrines unleashed upon the world.

Or else disinter the phoney’s body, and cremate it and scatter the ashes over the sites of some of the Gulags he inspired. Demolish the monument, grind it to powder, and do the same. Then set up a plaque telling that there used to be a memorial to Karl Marx here, and listing the atrocities his doctrines were used to justify.

Always remember that Marx (and Engels) were some of the biggest anti-semites on the planet. To read their writings on Jews is to really understand the word “creepy.”

This is long overdue. Marx was a prophet of hate, mass murder and totalitarianism.

I think the Lincoln Marx dialogue is overrated from the Lincoln perspective

But it’s ironic you chose the wording you did

Marx loved Lincoln no question

I think Lincoln found Marx intriguing but no way he’d have supported communism ....

It’s been forty years since Doctor Neumaier required us to read Marx and Hegel etc at Ole Miss

Did Marx actually advocate the bloodshed that eventually arose

Seems The Bolshies and then Stalin and the Mao and eventually Pol Pot and Castro found their murderous excess more through autocracy and the police state rather than pure collectivism

Course I know Freepers eschew nuance

So folks indulge me

Sadly autocratic excess is a given in totalitarianism and the rise of a truly Deep State accompanies it

It’s another irony how many of those in the former Soviet Union ..the grandchildren and great grandchildren of Bolshies and Menshies as apparatchiks in 1990 then transformed overnight into oligarchs of those state industries they formerly had a hand in running through IPOs which simply gave them controlling blocks of stock

Aparactchiks and former GRU/KGB goons issued themselves rich courtesy of western underwriters ....gotta love their chutzpah

Putin kiiboshed nearly all of that to his credit except a couple he keeps close

It’s still the state the state the state

The Dems are now all in for that tack and GOPe too just slower velocity

I doubt that Lincoln knew much about Marx, although it’s possible that he read some of Marx’s Civil War commentary.

Marx wrote a column for Horace Greeley’s newspaper. Greeley and Lincoln were friends, and Greeley’s New York Tribune was a Republican newspaper.

Marx certainly knew plenty about Lincoln, and he supported Lincoln and the Union plan for crushing the South.

Some of Marx’s fellow ‘48er Revolutionaries had helped found the Republican Party up in Ripon WI, some were in Lincoln’s administration, and there were plenty in the Union Army.

But I bet that we won’t see Dinesh writing about that forgotten part of American history. It doesn’t fit his agenda of pretending that the GOP has been the agent of God in history.

But, it's "eye-level so as to not tower over the people" according to the architect. An unmarked, mass grave would be more fitting, though it would be a desecration to the others that shared it.

Bradshaw aimed to express the "dynamic force of his intellect" and wanted the sculptured likeness to be at eye-level rather than "towering over the people"
