Meredith Watson, who has also accused Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of sexual assault, said she was also raped by a Duke basketball player in 1999 that she didn't identify, according to USA Today. Monday, the [New York] Times reported Watson had told friends in the past that she was raped by Corey Maggette and that [Duke university] officials did not pursue the claim despite Watson allegedly reporting the incident to a dean at the university. Maggette, a Los Angeles Clippers analyst for Fox Sports West, did not appear in an originally planned broadcast on Monday. It was announced on the broadcast that Maggette had a personal matter to attend to. Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, who has run the Blue Devils program for nearly 40 years, was asked about the allegation on Saturday night...

Duke University had (in 1999) and still has its’ own campus Police Department.
what may make this especially disturbing is that the 1999 Duke University Student Affairs Deans were women. The campus police department failed to act AND the women leading the Duke Women’s Center (founded in 1989) appeared to be silent on Meredith Watson’s filed reports as well.
The athlete in post 3 looks like Shane Battier, not Corey Maggette. Battier was another Duke star from roughly the same time frame. Please delete this post unless you can confirm who this player is. Don’t want FR to be sued.
