A Presbyterian pastor in California has resigned his church after congregants abandoned him over a sign he placed in front of the church building declaring that homosexuality is still sin.
In early January, the Reverand Justin Hoke, pastor of Trinity Bible Presbyterian Church in the small town of Weed, California, posted a sign in front of the church facility pointing out that Bruce Jenner is still male, referring to the high-profile U.S. Olympic Gold Medal athlete who changed his name to Caitlyn and now portrays himself as a woman. The sign went on to declare that Homosexuality is still sin. The culture may change, the Bible does not.
Weed is four hours north of San Francisco, and the local news site SFGate.com reported that Hoke said he constructed the provocative message at the beginning of the year to inspire reflection on todays culture. He feels modern society has changed the definition of tolerance to conflict with the Bible.

True but they are not repenting. In fact, the left is busy outlawing conversion therapy and other things that may lead to repentance. A person struggling to change is now stripped of options.
Yes, it is very scary.
“Woe to those who love their houses of worship and lift up empty praise in My name, then turn their backs on the Word of My mouth and refuse My correction; you have secured your place in the valley!”
ha!
well they act like PCUSA or some sort of similar Satanic outfit, all said imho of course
I guess we’ll find out if the Presbytery of this church disciplines the congregation or not.
why it is so important to have truth lead the way
I wonder why they concentrate so much on homosexuality and ignore all the other sinfulness out there....
Is the downfall of all previous great Republics due to the young people forgetting why the Republic was formed in the first place and splinter groups like LBGTQ demanding the government concentrate on their “special” needs?
It may have been the sin of the week. each week a different topic. That’s how some church s operate.
Sin of the week? At any rate, when Jesus talked about the Law under the Old Covenant, He said that if one broke even the least of the commandments, one broke all of them....people seem to put a heavier weight on homosexuality so they can ‘forgive” their own sinfulness.
Actually it was God that did that. He called homosexuality an abomination meaning GREATER sin. It is not for humans to assign which sins are greater or lesser for they are all sin and we are to walk in the light.
Understood - but He also omitted it from the 10 Commandments and there’s no way He didn’t already know that Sodom and Gomorrah were just around the corner.
He also didn’t mention about overdosing on heroin, driving while under the influence or even having slaves. That is the difference between a Christian who has the Spirit within them guiding them and the world looking at do’s and don’ts. We don’t have to be told every single thing. The first four Commandments are built upon respect for God and the last six are for the respect for our fellow man.
