This was against Mormon teaching. So Kimball conjured up a personal visit from God, who told him it was now OK to have black priests.

I must admit, I had figured it very possible (not saying “likely”) that Obama would take up a post at the United Nations after his pResidency.
I don’t know that he’s “the guy” I’m just saying he does an excellent impression of “the guy”.

I have no answer to that. What I have observed is that BO has not disappeared into retirement as most former presidents do. He is only the 2nd president in USA history to stay in DC after his last term expired, and the only 1 to continue to blatantly stick his nose into the succeeding administration with the support of a crooked media.

I did not intend to detract from the plight of Pastor Hoke. This is to be expected. The Enemy, in the form of his LGBT and others, have infiltrated the churches to destroy them from within as well as from outside.
Some descriptions fit and others not so much. One common belief is that he will be a homosexual because he will not have the desire for women. That does sound like it COULD be our Barry.
I don't believe Obama was named after the general in the Bible (actually Deborah was the Judge - or Judge-ess. Barak was her general), but he was most likely named after the south end of Mohammad's phantom horse that flew him to Jerusalem one night (at least he did during his hallucination).
They already have. There's no word "presbyterian" anywhere in the Bible. It's a man made religion and a man made church. There's nothing Christian about it.

My guess is the congregation simply did not want to become the center of attention ala Baptist Church of Westboro. They had no problem with the sign until the response was a protest. Which means they agreed with the sentiments of the sign.
It’s a small town and people did not want to be caught in the middle of a Controversy just because their pastor wants to be provocative. This reaction is not unreasonable and says nothing about their Biblical beliefs. Many people don’t think their beliefs should be shoved down the throats of others.

“Tolerance” was the buzzword 25 years ago. I saw it, I was there. Liberals use words apart from their meanings, to deceive people. Before that, it was “We just want to be left alone.”
Tolerance means to allow for the existence of other viewpoints without accepting those viewpoints. Instead, they not only demand acceptance, but also outright approval. We’ve come a long ways from “We just want to be left alone”. Now it’s “Bake the Cake MFer”.
It was then that I came to the inescapable conclusion that it was the leftists who are authoritarian control freaks. There’s nothing democratic nor tolerant about them. And it’s gotten worse and worse and worse every year since that time.
Take that one couple and go start a real church.

Also this outfit is not connected with PCUSA or PCA - it’s the “Bible Presbyterian Church.” The hierarchy (presbytery and above) appears to be Bible-believing.
