Pastor Forced to Resign for Declaring Biblical Truth About Homosexuality
The New American ^ | 23 January 2019 | Dave Bohon

A Presbyterian pastor in California has resigned his church after congregants abandoned him over a sign he placed in front of the church building declaring that “homosexuality is still sin.”

In early January, the Reverand Justin Hoke, pastor of Trinity Bible Presbyterian Church in the small town of Weed, California, posted a sign in front of the church facility pointing out that “Bruce Jenner is still male,” referring to the high-profile U.S. Olympic Gold Medal athlete who changed his name to “Caitlyn” and now portrays himself as a woman. The sign went on to declare that “Homosexuality is still sin. The culture may change, the Bible does not.”

Weed is four hours north of San Francisco, and the local news site SFGate.com reported that Hoke said “he constructed the provocative message at the beginning of the year to inspire reflection on today’s culture. He feels modern society has changed the definition of tolerance to conflict with the Bible.”

Pastor Hoke placed a sign in front of the church saying “homosexuality is still sin.”

Following an LGBT protest the sign was vandalized, prompting Pastor Hoke to repair it and re-post the sign.

Pastor Hoke said, “I was informed that essentially all but one couple in membership would leave the church if I continued as pastor of TBPC.”

what’s interesting about this, imho, is the location of Weed, California... a small rural area town .. hundreds of miles removed from San Fransicko (and even farther from Lost Angels)

if a church’s parishioners don’t want to hear the Bible taught or preached, that’s their privilege.. but they really should remove the Christian identifiers from their organization....its false advertising to claim to be a Christian church and then refuse to have your pastor read the Bible to you

“the provocative message”

Hmmm..The media usually uses the now-meaningless term “controversial” for “normal” instead of “provocative”.

Sounds like his congregation has already let the church, at least in spirit. If your christian congregation doesn’t like what the bible says, maybe they should start their own church. I suggest they name it The Church of I Hope the Bible is Wrong. Because if it is correct, that word abomination is not going to be so easily over looked at judgement time.

Not shocked that the town of Weed, California would do this.

Sounds like a place that you’d wanna be glad to kick off it’s dust and leave.

“He feels modern society has changed the definition of tolerance to conflict with the Bible.”

That’s a pretty good summary of what has happened.

Haven’t clicked on the link yet, but I recommend the pastor to return once, to shake the dust off his feet at those who threw him out. He can do it from the street.

This is just one example of thousands like this across America.

Think The Lord isn’t taking note?
Most haven’t been paying attention apparently.

Isaiah 1:18-20
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

A modern day Stephen - held his ground and got “punished”.

God will condemn every single one of those church members save the one family who said they wouldn’t leave if Pastor Hoke stayed.

Preferably with mistletoe attached to the lower back of his jacket.

I wonder if the harshest judgement will be levied against those who pervert the word of God?

It just shows the problem in America (and the world) is beyond political. It’s spiritual.

I say things really changed in 2008.

That’s when I really saw the spirit of antichrist moving quickly through the world at the same time. Including right here in the good old USA. Found it in the church organization I was at, too.

I’m not saying the community organizer is the guy, but he’s certainly one of the false prophets. To me, it was as if some of the strong delusion had already begun.

I’ve never seen anything like it. I would not have believed it possible just slightly over 7 years past 9/11/2001.

Even as cynical as I often am. But yet, here we are.

He should scrape up a little dust from the street or at least bring some.

Sprinkle it on the shoes and shake a few dusty toes.

I hope that one couple can find another church home soon.

Yes, this is ugly. Yes, this is a Sign of the Times. When people are cheering this in the streets. Most of the Democrats have no problem with this.
