The optics of POTUS reciting his promises made, promises kept litany while the Republicans cheer and the Dhimmi sit on their hands will be perfect. The people will see that the Dhimmi care nothing for them, except for their vote.

I like him toying with her, but I wish he’d break the tradition of giving the speech in the House chambers. She gave him a wonderful gift by rescinding her invitation; it opens up many venue opportunities forever.
She directed the House Sergeant at Arms to prevent a White House advance team from entering the House, which she can do.
If the House is in Session, the President may enter the floor, but the Speaker need not grant him speaking time. The ban on speaking would be subject to majority vote.

I read she already “instructed” the SAA to let NO official from the executive branch in to the chambers. So.............
I want to watch her squirm as she is forced to sit behind him, on camera, while he lists his accomplishments and rakes her over the coals.

There has been a lot of backlash on her trying to keep the SOTU from happening in the House. ‘We the People’ have been outraged .... I’ve seen a LOT of comments to the effect that “it’s The People’s House” not San Fran Nan’s, even if as Speaker, she controls who can be on the floor.
Win - win for Trump. If she doubles down, she looks worse than she does now. If the Dems vote to not have him in the House (joint resolution needed, House & Senate), then they look horrible ... obstructive, resistant worse than they look already.
If he gives the speech in the House, the optic of Pelosi having to sit politely behind him is priceless (before any of her facial tics, twitches or nasty looks). If the Dems on the floor boo, turn their backs, or walk out ... bad optics again.

I have to agree....the childish left will do everything possible to disrupt his speech. Walk-out...booing...throwing a tantrum, to provide only a few examples.

Only Republicans will be rebuked for using the wrong pronouns. Stupid is as stupid does, and this language control is not only stupid, but evil as well.
I figure she’ll look like one of my kids that refuses to use the bathroom at school and struggles going home to hold it. Priceless as she’ll be sitting directly behind him with the vice-president. He’s got the sit stoically down quite well, so he’ll be able to enjoy himself. But Nancy? Oh, the fun this will be.
And this presents a problem for the media as well. Will they set up in the House, or the Senate, or somewhere else? Last minute.

Thank you for your letter of January 3, 2019, sent to me after the long Shutdown began, inviting me to address the Nation on January 29th as to the State of the Union. As you know, I had already accepted your kind invitation, however, I then received another letter from you dated January 16th, 2019, wherein you expressed concerns regarding security during the State of the Union Address due to the Shutdown. Even prior to asking, I was contacted by the Department of Homeland Security and the United States Secret Service to explain that there would be absolutely no problem regarding security with respect to the event. They have since confirmed this publicly.
Accordingly, there are no security concerns regarding the State of the Union Address. Therefore, I will be honoring your invitation, and fulfilling my Constitutional duty, to deliver important information to the people and Congress of the United States of America regarding the State of our Union.
I look forward to seeing you on the evening on January 29th in the Chamber of the House of Representatives. It would be so very sad for our Country if the State of the Union were not delivered on time, on schedule, and very importantly, on location!

We have a nice new Little League Baseball complex just on the other side of the Railroad Tracks by the House. New fences/Lights/Snack bar/Facilitates and Feed to the Cable System. No problem getting the Signal to the rest of the USA/World since the Cable Company is 2 blocks away on the same road.
And President Trump has a Golf Course about 15 minuets away.
The Senate chamber is just way too small. I’m guessing the Trump team has already investigated an alternative venue & will be willing to ‘go’ if Nan continues to play Nasty. The “easiest” would be to do it from the Oval Office & that would preserve the ‘dignity’ of the occasion, whereas a rally type scenario would not & I think Trump is cognizant of that. A big criticism of him is that he is not Presidential & doesn’t take the office seriously, as ridiculous as those charges are.
Trump doesn’t get audience feedback in the OO when reading on a teleprompter to TV cameras & he definitely feeds off the energy of a live audience. Real people animate him whereas he is more ‘flat’ in front of a teleprompter/TV cameras only. If he opts for the OO, he could, for example, have Angel Moms & others present & that live audience would be a good thing for him. He is emotionally involved with the Angel Moms - doing right by them with the border situation means a lot to him.
I trust Trump to figure out what’s best if Nasty Nan doubles down. I saw earlier where Steny Hoyer said he didn’t have a problem with Trump giving the SOTU in the House ... a break from ol’ Nasty. Cracks starting to appear .....??
