A Gillette advert which references bullying, the #MeToo movement and toxic masculinity has split opinion online.
The razor company's short film, called Believe, plays on their famous tagline "The best a man can get", replacing it with "The best men can be".
The company says it wants men to hold each other "accountable".
Some have praised its message, which aims to update the company's previous message about masculinity, but others say Gillette is now "dead" to them.
It currently has 23,000 likes and 214,000 dislikes, at time of writing - and it's increasing all the time.

That sounds like it’s going well. I am one of those 214,000 dislikes.
Brilliant, Gillette. Absolutely brilliant.

I note that the beeb had to go to Twitter to farm their quotes because there weren’t any supportive ones on the video.

I will just assume anyone I see buy a Gillette product is a homosexual, since they appear to be acknowledging that segment as their market focus.

We're becoming a society of fear-mongers and finger-pointers. If a person commits a crime, prosecute them. Otherwise, live and let live.

Only women and gay soy boys on the advertising team, likely.

There are a lot of company ads that make their customers look like a bunch of dummies. Progressive and Sonic come to mind.

My comment on the Gillette website:
Your condescending message to men appears to check a box for social justice bean-counters and may warm the hearts of out-of-touch corporate executives. I can't imagine, however, that it does so without insulting and angering a good portion of your customer base. In your haste to decry "toxic masculinity" did you create a program of "toxic messaging" to make the point?
