Once again, House Republican leaders last week found themselves having to answer for the offensive statements of Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa. This time King further confirmed his insensitivity and evidently racist approach to public policy.
The New York Times quoted King asking, "White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization – how did that language become offensive?"
In a frank Washington Post op-ed, Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., asked, “Why are Republicans accused of racism? Because we’re silent on things like this.”
To their credit, many Republican office holders were quick to condemn the provocative remarks, with Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst tweeting, “I condemn Rep. Steve King’s comments on white supremacy; they are offensive and racist – and not representative of our state of Iowa.”
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, was also fed up, telling NBC’s Meet the Press, “What Steve King said was stupid. It was stupid, it was hurtful, it was wrong. And he needs to stop it. I think all of us ought to be united regardless of party in saying white supremacism, white nationalism is hatred, it is bigotry, it is evil, it is wrong. And I think we need that clarity. And I'm certainly going to urge everyone to provide that clarity."
Such acknowledgments are important and necessary. But words are not enough. We have had tweets, apologies and talk. Enough words. Now we need action. It is time to do what is right and remove King from his position on the House Judiciary Committee. We cannot afford to be silent.

100% agree. The real racists are the whites in the power seats and the media who infantilize blacks by not holding them to the same standards as rest of society. Thus you have the rampant crime, breakdown in family structure, terrible academic performance by so many blacks without even a tut tut.

There are no limits on the vile things leftards can puke out of their orifices, and no moral outrage no matter how depraved, vile, or unjust their utterances. Just shut up and die you white devils! Don’t you dare point out the absurdity of our hypocrisy, don’t think, don’t breathe, don’t ask questions, don’t give opinions, don’t smile, don’t laugh, feel guilty about your privilege and your evil whiteness, sit there and take it when we scream insults to your face or beat you to death with the hammer of shame. Whites are the clear enemy of the left. Even though we only make up 8% of the global population. I always ask, “What brown country do you know of that’s worth a sh*t?” I always get blank stares. There aren’t any.

Reality is not a world the opposition operates in. 99% of the time you hear somebody called a "white supremacist" he/she is nothing of the sort. An actual white supremacist seeks to conquer, enslave, or physically brutalize non-white people. Such people may exist, but there are barely enough of them in America to fill a phone booth. A "white supremacist" as a liberal smear word means any white person who defends his own nation and culture, or who simply refuses to apologize and wallow in abject self-hatred for being white. By the PC Left's definition, Steve King, Donald Trump, and anyone to the political Right of John McCain or Jeb Bush is a "white supremacist."
I agree with what you just aid, but even though I don’t think its what he meant, he makes it sounds like he questions why white supremacy would be a bad word. Optically it just sounds horrible. The globalist try to make any “nationalism” word sound bad.
As I said, King’s wording was awkward and tactless, but he didn’t say anything so outrageous as to deserve back-stabbing from members of his own party, especially when those “crusaders against racism” were silent about the La Raza and Black Nationalist connections of many prominent Democrats (including Obama).
Trump said, “I am a nationalist.” Perfect. There was no uproar. He did not say, “I am a white nationalist” because he knew that would be inappropriate. King was stupid to say what he did and the blow-back is his own fault.
