Host nations will appreciate us more when we’re gone. Brazil and Poland are ready to do just that.
Something tells me there’s a way out of Guantanamo. It’s expensive to maintain. Overthrow the communists and then pull out. Nothing there. Shoot the terrorist prisoners.
It’s nice to have a President who doesn’t see our military like a box of toy soldiers available to play with.
I support my President , 100% , in whatever he chooses or decides to do . I just wish he would outlaw & ban the Democrat Party and stand up a new national.civilian militia ,which was under his direct command and not the nitwit Liberal governors. Anyone ready & willing to sign up , other than me ?

Leo... You realize that you are describing the very same dictatorship and government the communists are trying to to put into place and would like to have right?
While we might trust Trump with this, what about the next President? Could the next President be trusted with this much power over the states and government?
These checks and balances we have to accept are by design to protect you from this type of power for a very good reason. What hinders the good guy now will also hinder the bad guy who follows later.
It can never be selective and sometimes we have to be careful what we ask for because it might fall into the wrong hands. :)
Get us out of:
Germany,
Korea,
Kosovo,
Japan
Get us out of the UN and the UN out of the USA.
Our country should quit defending the borders of foreign countries and start defending our own borders.
Get rid of the hog-tying rules of engagement (makes the politicians far from harm’s way feel good about themselves).
And quit the nation-building myth. We can’t even educate our own students on the benefits our constitution confers.
Well said and better yet... One who realizes how much these fronts requiring the toy soldiers are truly costing our unborn Great Grandchildren.
And know what? I can see the contractors who supply these fronts getting pissed about it since the announcement. This is a sign it is the right thing to do.
Priorities need to be set, it is time to stop being their best customer and paying for it with our Grandkids futures.

Clearly, under Trump, we were fighting ISIS, unfortunately, before, some were there to change regimes. I watched Lindsay Graham on CSPAN (at youtube on video) questioning a general why we were there. This was probably pre-election of Trump. Still, the general did not say we were there for regime change.
Absolutely. Stomp them when needed and get out. If they pop up again repeat. And with modern technology this can be done from the states with very limited personnel and very little equipment needed on the front. It does not take a whole battalion and heavy equipment to push a few buttons and control a joystick.

And later increased that commitment of troops while simultaneously announcing the withdrawal schedule. What a leader Obama was! /s
