Campgrounds in Yosemite National Park have been closed amid a foul tide of trash and human waste that is being blamed on the partial federal shutdown.

How about locking the gates???
Obama shut out veterans from War Memorials...How about we shut out litterbugs from our parks???
So what and who cares?
Yep - turning Yosemite into San Francisco...it’s what they do.
“Must be a lot of liberals go there.”
Rats, beat me to it.
Something about Mexifornia and Pelosiville (the definition of a new-age sh*thole).
There’re too many stars and not enough sewers.
AOC says just pay for it.
Participated in a couple of Tea Party rallies in Cincinnati back in 2009. Also the FR March for Justice in Washington, DC Oct. 31, 1998. The areas where the rallies were held were always picked up and left in good order. Contrast that with the filth & debris left behind at a typical leftist rally ... your point is valid, no question.
Sun-n-Fun!
300,000 responsible adults, including the 8 and 10-year-old ones who’d been taught to “leave your campsite cleaner than you found it”!
The other amazing thing was that in the morning I could leave my camcorder battery charging on the window ledge of the Men’s Shower building and come back in the evening to find it safely there.
Seems like your use of the word "disconcerting" is out of place or misused in this context.
The word means to makes you feel unsettled, perturb, troubled, unnerved, etc.
Given the rest of your comment it doesn't seem like the appropriate word. Substituting the word "amazing" would seem like a better word to use.
Just sayin'....
I hope your new year is not "disconcerting". Happy New Year. :-)
first thought I had too. Federal shut down caused people to defecate on roads and sidewalks? Then why have they been sh!ting on the sidewalks in San Francisco for years? Did SF's bum population suddenly move to Yosemite? Was there a caravan that I didn't hear about?
I know you are being facetious or sarcastic, but there are American citizens who live adjacent to the border who might disagree with your odoriferous idea.
:-)
SELLING parks and other federal land would be even better.
(I know a woman that uses a litterbox to save duh erf.)
Some have state highways running through them like, Yosemite. Can't shut down state highways in a federal shutdown.
The governor of Arizona publicly stated that the Grand Canyon National Park would be kept open to the public at their own expense.
Could be a temporary solution to keeping other parks open until the feds get their act together.
Its a favorite vacation spot for San Francisco’s homeless population.
Since California cannot possibly certify their elections to be legally conducted, that state’s electoral vote count that cancels legal votes of 11 central states should be eliminated from the presidential election total.
Yeah, I know...I live on the edge of the Smokey Mountain Nat’l Park...
“...until the DEMS get their act together...”
There...Fixed that one for you...8>)
A useful tool at best for something that started before he was born. One of Americas earlier “great heros” (master bull-**** artist) is more to blame for this and a number of other things. Too many around here have bought the propaganda on that subject so thats as far as I go on that subject.
Hubby and I are headed to the Grand Tetons/Yellowstone next weekend. I checked to see if the parks were still going to be open and found that they were, but that personnel would “not be available for assistance.” I suppose that means bathroom facilities as well won’t be maintained.
Apparently. I didnt realize SF laws reached all the way to Yosemite.
