Chuck Schumer vows to continue his government shutdown forever rather than fund a wall:
President Trump, if you want to open the government, you must abandon the wall, plain and simple.
Schumer claims the Democrats are “open to discussing any proposal as long as they do not include anything for the wall.” Sure they are.
This is all theater, of course. Hugh Hewitt says the shutdown is Schumer’s fault

Only 8% of the federal government will be affected. And since most federal employees are off for the next 4 days (and a large percentage will taking vacation days until Jan 2), we’ll see practically no change.
The current Congress isn’t coming back until after Christmas unless ordered to do so. And the next one is sworn in Jan 3. So at least a couple after that.
I’m saying 14 days of non-stop coverage of how awful it is that a few hundred employees at the Cattle Observation and Witnessing Flatulence Authority Regulation Taskforce (COWFART) are staying home and watch porn instead of at work.
Three of those 4 are gone Jan 3.

Thanks Chuck for providing us with a great opportunity to start dismantling the 80%+, $3 trillion+ unconstitutional portion of the federal government - the ONLY way we will recover our Free Constitutional Republic and free ourselves of the tyranny we are currently under.
I’ve always said that dismantling the $3 trillion + unconstitutional portion of the feds - sending hundreds of thousands of federal officials, bureaucratic heads, and government workers home packing - would be impossible but for God’s intervention. I see no power under Heaven strong enough to make that happen - not unlike the rag-tag colonists trying to defeat the greatest military power on earth.
But for God...
In many Biblical accounts, the enemies of God’s people did it for them. Maybe Chuck and Nancy’s obstinacy will work big time in our favor here.
Maybe this could be His hand at work. I hope so.

Got my wife to move out of MA and we moved down to north east FL and where our votes now count, along with more money in my pocket as there is less taxes, and more freedom with gun rights.
Someone owns that mofo utterly and completely, his opposition to the wall really makes no sense. We gave $38 BILLION to Israel 2 years ago to build a wall, and he’s against $5 billion for OUR defense?? It really ticks me off Trump gets his butt investigated off, but these punks like Schumer who have these very questionable aims are left entirely alone. This guy is against ANYTHING that is beneficial to this country.

Except that after that 14 days of bread and circuses, the House bill with the wall funding expires and Democrats will have run out the clock.
Come January 3, the Democrats will be ready to refund the government, and it will now fall on McConnell to block the new Pelosi bill.
